The buyer hypnotic_image bought a game from me 10 days ago and has yet to pay or contact me at all. I have sent him a message everyday since the 5th day after the item ended requesting payment or at least to contact me and let me know what's going on (if he needs some time, doesn't want the item, whatever). I have yet to receive any sort of response, other than him marking the item as payment sent (even though I don't accept money orders unless they are arranged prior to purchase).

After checking his feedback, he only has one negative-for an unpaid item where he never responded to anything. The seller received bad feedback from him, and he claimed the item never shipped.

I have yet to receive any negative feedback, and am getting worried about what to do in this situation. What should I do?

Go to ebay and report him as non payment bidder. This should help you recover fees, plus hopefully will prevent him from leaving negative feedback.

Yeah, Kevin H is right. Just go through the standard NPB procedure and if he doesn't respond to the dispute, he won't be able to leave any feedback at all. If he does respond and STILL negs you, there's a chance ebay will remove it if there is proof he had no intention of paying.

Getting negative feedback is not the end of the world, by the way. With the way ebay is set up nowadays, even the very best sellers get frequent negs/neutrals.

Well I told sent a message saying that I require payment within 7 days but extended that to 12 in case there really was an emergency or some reason he couldn't pay, at which point I will report a non-paying buyer.

Hopefully it works out. And yes, I know negative feedback is not the end of the world, I just would hate to get it for a reason that wasn't actually valid.

Has he responded to ANYTHING so far? You can probably stop messaging him as he clearly has no intention of paying and communicating.

after you report him to ebay for non-payment, put him on your black list & he wont be able to bid on your stuff anymore

No, he hasn't responded to anything, but I'll still give him the full 12 days out of hope.

And how do you put people on your blacklist?

It's called the Blocked Bidder List and you can find it at the top of ebay's Sitemap.
