Seems there's a very good chance of MvC3 (http://www.destructoid.com/comic-con-08-marvel-hints-at-a-new-marvel-vs-capcom-game-that-s-so-pringles--96905.phtml).

So maybe they'll just replace all the Tatsunoko characters with Marvel ones and release TvC as MvC3 outside of Japan? Whatever they do, I'm looking forward to it.

Mango Sentinels FTW...

Oh, IGN thinks so?

Listen, I'm all for a new MVC3, but seriously. I think we've all seen enough pics to realize that TVC is obviously more akin to SF4 than MVC.

Personally I'd rather play Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

Just imagine, will you:

Breetai vs. Captain Commando!
Tekkaman Blade vs. Tron Bonne!
Speed Racer vs. Mega Man! ;)

(In all honesty since Go Mifune fought like a Super Saiyan in the sixties, I'm interested in how he translates into a fighting game character).

WTF that reporter is an idiot! "Seeing as how we’ll never get Tatsunoko vs. Cacpom: Cross Generation here in America..."

Why not?! Speed Racer is a Tatsunoko ip and there was a big budget Speed Racer movie that starred American actors and was produced by an American company. I think there something going on with Robotech and Hollywood is trying to get it's hands on that and I remember hearing something about G-Force or Battle of the Planets movie being made by Hollywood as well. Tatsunoko may not be a household name in the u.S> but people definitely know their characters and people playing video games will most likely have a better knowlege of those characters as well. I don't know where the hell that reporter got that idea of that game having no chance of coming to the U.S. This is a Capcom fighting game. They think globally with those gams because they know that people take their fighting games seriously and they can make money off of that.

Marvel vs. Caocom came out in Japan and was produced by a Japanese company right? Not only that but they've made 6 fighting games with Marvel characters and all of those were released in Japan. Captain freakin' AMERICA was in 5 of those games and there's NO chance TVC will come out in the U.S.?! Idiot.

Now as much as I'd like to see that game. I highly doubt that they'll swap characters out in TVC with MArvel characters. I more think that the president of production at Marvel just wasn't too aware of what the guy was talking about. In all fairness they were at a comic convention and not a video game convention.

FUCK THE KNICKS! OH OH

Aren't the Tatsunoko characters licenced to different companies in the US? In the case of Marvel vs Capcom, all of the characters are under Marvel. In Japan all the tatsunoko characters are under Tat, but in the US I thought they were spread out over different companies which makes it harder to licence.

At least that was the excuse for not bringing over Super Robot Wars other than the Original Generation ones.

Though I have no idea why Namco vs Capcom didn't get a port. Oh well.

A Capcom rep at E3 said that they want to bring TvC out over here (i think the fact that they are Location Testing it at Evo this August is proof) but yeah, there are a lot of licensing issues to deal with to make it a reality.

Also, TvC looks to play almost nothing like SF4, dude. The fact that you've got the crazy over the top moves and air combos and tagging makes it look far, far closer to one of the Marvel games than to SF4's traditional style.

Um. Pringles?

That was an old in-joke of a guy in the Mugen scene when I was in it. I can't watch the video, but that's just too damn suspicious for me not to mention.

Meh. the MvC series is fun and all, but it never managed to hold my attention for long periods of time. It's too spazzy and button mashy for me.

Just my opinion, folks.
