Found a castlevania n64 proto today in the wild.

you can only look people,im not selling
Nice for my collection! Its a very early version 0.0 and its buggy like hell,but it has a lot of different things including the music
And we all know how great the music of the series is:wink 2:

Believe it or not,but i found it in a second hand store.

and yeah the dutch team played great beaten the world champion(Itali) and the vice champion (France)BIG time.
But the peeked to soon,oh well at least the won it in 1988

strange the date on the label is a few days after the US release...so the game was finished when this sample was made. Are you sure there are differences you played the original? Because the released version was also buggy;)

Hey Simon,
I didn't play the original..But found a friend with the released version.
Already found 1 difference in the intro text.
So there got to be more differences

Holy shit.
The game came out three months later (03/11/99) in Japan. This might explain the late date on the cartridge. Maybe KCEK used it to do comparisons or other things before releasing the Japanese version. What is it, PAL?

don't be fooled bye the Japanse signs this is a PAL prototype!
I don't now much about the release dates,but i do know that this is the first n64 castlevania prototype showing up

USA: 12/31/98.
Japan: 03/11/99.
Europe: 05/14/99 (because we stink).
Sure it's not a Japanese prototype; but the Japanese letters might mean that the Kobe branch of Konami used it to do something, or maybe they sent it to Europe after tuning it.

who knows? Maybe Kobe did something with it.
Because this is the first n64 prototype i find with Japanese writting on it.

I think dates and stuff can be confusing on protos for me because I know another Castlevania proto that is USA version but it is in Japanese, and date on it is before Japanese release, but also I remember button commands were different, but it is USA version.
