Ok now that I have a Turbo Grafix 16 Core system, does anyone know where I can purchase a good av or s-video cable for the core system? any info would be appreciated :)

The US core system? Or a coregrafx? You need a Turbobooster to use AV cables on the US TG16.

Before you can use AV cables you need to get the TurboBooster, an add on that plugs in under the cover on the back. It's the only way to get a better signal than RF. I don't believe there is an S-video cable for the TG16.
I'm in the same boat, I bought a PC Engine Duo for the CDs and Japanese import cards, and a core TG16 for the American cards. The Duo uses AV, the difference is huge. Boosters are a little hard to come by, going for about $30 on ebay recently.

this is truly a MUST HAVE TG-16 accessory if you don't want to mod it.
