The quick answer is that someone just decided to sell the box and keep the system, but the box could have been from a rental unit that went missing. I can't think of any rental stores that carried the Neo, though.

I would bet the same seller will sell the unit now. I saw someone sell a Vectrex box once, and get some good cash for it. A week later the same guy was selling the system. That is just foul...
