Yet for some reason, I get visions of the LE RE4 chainsaw controller, whenever I see the lancer. Still that's a far cry better than the Halo 3 Legendary Edition packaging.

Will be seeing this on clearance by Easter 2009 for like $50. They won't be able to get rid of them fast enough.

Of course, if I pass this up for $130 or $150 or w/e it's gonna cost, they'll no doubt suddenly be worth like $300.

Pretty cool. Halo legendary edition, I didn't preorder one because I didn't have the money to buy it but when I got to the store and saw one I was like...I'll put it on credit but then I saw how many they had and said nah nevermind I'll wait and buy later. This might be rare though if its only through amazon and they limit the numbers

Jesus Christ, is that thing life sized? I didn't like Gears of War 1 that much, but I'm so sold on Gears of War 2 on that gun alone. That thing is awesome!!!

I read an article the other day on Joystiq claiming the Lancer LE will only be available on Amazon.com. Not really sure why, or when it goes on sale, but I'll be on the look out.

My understanding is that this will not be incorporated into a single box like the Halo Legendary Edition. It will just come in a separate box along with the GOW2 Collector's Edition if you order from Amazon and pay the additional $50+ In my mind, it's not really a different collector's edition, more like an additional collector's item you can buy if you order from Amazon. It's the same way they're handling the Fallout 3 Amazon edition with the clock.

I went to this thread thinking the same thing. See, if it was the car, then I would have reason to be dissappointed, because I have an 06 Lancer (only got 06 cuz it was cheaper than going new)

I would be as sad as though halo 3 dudes on this thread, buying a lancer, and then 3 months later finding out there is a lancer that has gow on it.

I ordered this morning. It even makes chainsaw noises and vibrates. These kind of things only come along once in a while, so I don't mind splurging for something that cool. Besides, GOW was my favorite game of '06, and the second should be even better.

I'm trying to convince myself to buy it, but that price tag is just haunting me.

I will say though, this has to be one of the best desk/shelf ornaments I've ever seen.
