Marvel vs Capcom 1-2 for the DC were excellent ports, used the same hardware as the arcade one i believe?

NES - Donkey Kong - it's missing a level and intermissions, but I like it.

A little newer - SNES - Street Fighter II, Mortal Komat 2

Can't believe nobody said it yet:

Also Gauntlet, and a whole slew of Capcom ports (Willow, Section Z, 1943, many others...)

MvC1 was on the CPS2 hardware, MvC2 was on Sega Naomi which is almost exactly the same as the DC, just has more memory.

Not even close. For starters the screen orientation is different and that makes an absolutely *HUGE* difference. Same goes for Contra.

So I guess, the question is what does "good" mean in the context of this question. I mean sure, Contra on the NES is good and it's a port, but does that make it a good port? Or does "good" mean "accurate"?
