View Full Version : Room of Doom/Game Rooms unreachable?

Am i the only one, or the whole server/site is down?
For months i tried to update my album by uploading pictures, but there was a bug which wasn't letting me logging in.

Now the whole stuff is down. What's going on?

The gallery is being updated right now. It's going to take some time, but the software is being updated and all of the current galleries are being moved to the new server.

No idea. I just know that the admins have been working on it all week. There are 2000 galleries and they can be imported only 5-10 at a time. You do the math. This is not going to be a fast process.

Sniderman's right (as always; in fact, there is no way to say "Sniderman's wrong" in English (or any other language) because it never happens -- suck on that, kiddos.)

I just installed Gallery 2.x which has a metric shit ton of new features. Unfortunately importing all the old albums all at once into the new Gallery is too taxing on the server so Joe and I are currently doing them 5 at a time. I've got the new Gallery locked down right now because I don't want anybody adding new galleries or editing their old ones before the importing is complete. If I had to guess I would say "days" rather than "weeks".

In the time it took me to type up this response I imported all the ones that start with the letter "A". Anyone have a guess as to what letter contains the most galleries?

Room of Doom section is unreachable again, i always get this message:

Database Error
An error has occurred while interacting with the database.
Back to the Gallery


Any idea why,or what's going on?

I also expected this thread to be about overstuffed game rooms and / or all night pizza binges (the two go hand-in-hand after all).

i think the boffins are working on it as we speak.
i had in my Jaguar section 5477 views on some items which was nice but obviously not true, before RoD went down the tubes, probably some hacking problem or so
