Rumor: Ghostbusters game canned?

I've heard from a couple places that the new Ghostbusters game has been canned and/or has been backburnered by Activision. Can anyone substantiate this?

The rumor has been spreading for about a week now. Sierra is denying it. And I don't think they'll cancel it.

It would be pretty stupid for them to cancel it, especially since this game is high on alot of people's wish lists.

Can't see how they'd backburner one of the highest anticipated games of this season. I've a feeling there's too much riding on this for them to can it.

However, I *Can* see them prematurly potentially shipping a shit product that's buggy as hell...

That wouldn't suprise me at all. I hate it when games get rushed. Nice to know it's not cancelled tho!

Activision said they werent picking it up to publish it or something along those lines, they never said it was canned. Delayed until next year probably to go with the Ghostbusters Anniversary.

Even if Activision doesn't publish it, somebody else will.

It's highly anticipated and even if it turns out to be less than stellar, it's got great hype and great press on it.
