All, I have a pretty decent size collection and I am looking to display it. I figured I would put out this thread to get some ideas on how to do so. Are there any kinds of display shelves that you guys prefer etc?
Any pictures would be great also!
Thanks!

If you've got a lot of stuff to display, and can work a saw without cutting off your fingers, I would highly recommend building simple, but highly-efficient custom shelving units (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38837&highlight=custom+shelving). Build them to what you are displaying, and you'll save lots of space compared to store-bought options.

I use a glass display cabinet for my rarer stuff & then regular shelves for the bulk of my collection. Ikea sell a lot of great glass display cabinets & quite cheap too.
Heres a vid i did a few weeks ago of my collection, it will give you an idea of the shelves i used.

Here are some ideas for displaying your collection (my current display).

I got the two main free-standing system shelving units from Target (believe it or not) and modified them (added many shelves to the original design). The 'floating' wall shelves came from IKEA. The other game shelving units came from O'Sullivan and Saunder.
Hope this helps and good luck on your presentation/Room of Doom.

Custom all the way, its alot cheaper and just better over all. Also If your like me you have more than just games and systems to display so custom shelving is a must.

I agree with Goodwill Hunter, building your own shelves are the best way to go, if you can. I built this set from recycled wood, it only cost me a can of stain and polyurethane.
