So recently i added a gamegear, neo geo pocket color, and atari lynx to my collection. Anyway i was wondering if anyone knew a list of what RPGs were released for these systems in the US (or at least in region free english playable format). So far ive been going through gamefaqs clicking the titles one at a time looking to see if there's a US release but this is both time consuming and seemingly inaccurate, as there are a few US releases listed that i dont believe were actually released in the US. Could anyone list the US released RPGs for these handhelds. If you want to throw in any advice on "MUST HAVE" games for these systems feel free to do so.

Shining Force for GameGear is one of the best games for this system no doubt!

Defenders of Oasis for the GameGear
Faselei for the NGPC
Dark Arms for the NGPC (though it's more Zelda style than traditional RPG)
no idea on any for the Lynx, though.

Game Gear:
Crystal Warriors (Strategy)
Neo Geo Pocket Color:
Evolution
Dive Alert
Hope that helps.

I think all three Gamegear RPGs were mentioned in this thread already. So to reiterate:
Shining Force: Sword of Haiya
Defenders of Oasis
Crystal Warriors
There's also Dragon Crystal which is sort of like a Mystery Dungeon game.
As for NeoGeo Pocket as far as I know there's:
Bio Motor Unitron
Dark Arms
Evolution
Faselei
(Dive Alert is a new one to me, I'll have to check that out)
And I didn't think that the Lynx had any, although I hope I'm wrong.

IMO Defenders of Oasis (Gamegear) is the best handheld RPG out there. You definately need to check it out, if you can find it.

Evolution wasn't released in the US for Neo Geo Pocket Color. The US got:
Bio Motor Unitron (Pokemon style but with robots)
Dive Alert: Becky's Version
Dive Alert: Matt's Version (same game got two versions a la Pokemon Red & Blue)
Faselei! (strategy RPG)
That's it. If you want to stretch the definition of an RPG, you can throw in Dark Arms, but I'd consider that an Adventure game.

It's european, most importantly in english, and playable on a US system.

Game Gear -
Shining Force II: The Sword of Hajya. A VERY admirable port of the second portion of the Shining Force CD. A must if you own a GG.
Defenders of Oasis is a VERY good traditional RPG. It is fairly rare and VERY expensive for a complete boxed copy, but I snagged a mint loose cart for around $12.00 on Ebay a week or so ago. It’s also quite original, something missing from most RPGs these days.
Lynx –
Viking Child also known as The Prophecy on other formats. It plays much like a Wonderboy\ Monster World game and is a lot of fun imo.
Neo Geo Pocket –
For the NGP you honestly can't get much better then Faselei as others have said. It's made by Sacnoth (The same team that made Koudelka and the Shadow Hearts series) and it is an incredible game similar to Square's Front Mission series. It’s also quite a showcase for the NGPs capabilities. It has excellent graphics and a full intro song with voice and all!

Doh, I totally missed that part in the parenthesis. I thought MrSparkle only wanted games with US releases.

Heh, that's ok. While I knew it had an English release, I didn't even release it was a European exclusive until you said something.
I had to google it and save face. >.>'
