I was perusing a goodwill today and came across a bunch of factory sealed PC games from the early 90's. The games are:

Jazz Jackrabbit
Cyborgirl
Space Chase 3
Electroman
Ancients II

There were more, but I figured I can always go back and get them if they are worth anything. All of them are in mint condition, never opened, seal never broken. So, what's the verdict?

Just a quick look on the ol' eBay...

Cyborgirl seems to relatively common, even in sealed form.

Same for Space Chase 3.

Electroman seems to come up somewhat dry on eBay, but it looks like it has potential (~$10).

Personally, if you were just buying them up to resell them, you wouldn't make much bank it all. But if you like DOS games in general or games from that era, and if they're cheap enough, then I say take the plunge. Even if you don't have a DOS computer available, DOSBox should work just as well with the original disks (or, at the very least, Virtual PC could work as well). Just make sure that they don't require anything online (like a game server) or any parts (like a specialized joystick) that you don't have before you buy.

/me remembers trying to get anybody, ANYBODY to unload his brand-new minty sealed copy of "Meridian 59" onto

Yeah I bought some of them, they look great and seem like good additions to the collection, but I'm still gonna use them more for trading/selling than anything.

Did I hear sealed DOS games?

Get a list. ;) If there's something in there I want, I'll gladly trade with you.
