Hey guys,

Was wondering if anyone could tell me what a good wireless xbox controller is. I'm fine with the 1st party 2nd design but I want wireless, 2.4ghz preferred :| Thanks!

I thought the Logitech offerings were fantastic, on par with the OEM Microsoft wired controllers. The second revision of the Logitech wireless used 2 batteries instead of 4, I think, but was otherwise similar.

Buy the logitech 2 battery controller. The 4 battery version eats batteries like a nomad. It's by far the best wireless controller out there for either the Xbox or the PS2.

Logitech. Excellent controller...better than the 1st party wired IMO.

God, I wish I had something different to say... but Logitech all the way. I think the Logitech controller is way better than any other controller made for the XBOX.

Is it just me or did Microsoft actually take a design cue from Logitech's XBOX controllers when making the 360 one.

Another vote for Logitech. I've got 2 and nothing comes close to them.

How do they compare to Logitech's last revision for their PS2 wireless controllers? I thought the buttons on that one were pretty awful.

Logitech here as well. And I LOVE the Logitech 2nd rev. PS2 controllers too. That's all I use actually.

I've got 3 Logitechs for my Xbox. They're fantastic! Just make sure that none of the receivers fall behind anything; mine fell behind the Xbox in my entertainment center and it caused all sorts of interference problems.

I'll make sure to sit them ontop ;p why should it have interference problems if its 2.4ghz though o_0

May have had something to do with my wireless access point that was the next room over... Probably something to do with signal strength and something ending up on the same channel. I've upgraded to those DECT 6.0 phones (I think they're 5.8ghz or something) and have since swapped out the failing Linksys AP with a business-class Proxim Orinoco. No more interference issues. :)

Just a quick question, the recievers are on a cord? So the reciever unit itself isn't inserted into the controller port like the PS2 versions?

Odd way to do it since they don't depend on line of sight so you don't need to move the reciever around to get reception. And defeats some of the purpose and benefits of going wireless if you still have to have a cable plugged into your console...

Yeah, they're on a cord about 6" to 1 foot long, with the transceiver (controllers have rumble feature) on the end along with a card slot (I guess for memory cards or XBL headsets). I just route the cables around and set the transceivers on top of the console. Not as clean as the "all in one" plugs, but I can't really complain due to the overall quality.

That makes sense, I forgot about memory cards and XBL headsets.

Yeah I just tied them with a rubberband ;p

I plugged mine in and then shoved the recievers behind my Xbox...they work fine.

I think I am going to go with the logitech wireless controllers. I can't stand playing Darkwatch only 7 ft away from my tv. My living room is easily over 800 sq ft as it is and being that close is annoying.

I have too say that I'm happy with them, the design does seem like it could be JUST a tiny bit better, but it's still pretty damn good and I had no problems with response time (playing burnout 3, a game that needs it ;p) Easy to connect and everything. So far recommendable ;p
