TurboGraphix Controller Missing Pins?

I just recieved a TurboGraphix controller from a friend but the pins that connect to the controller port in the system are completely missing. It appears that they were ripped off or removed. There are no pins whatsoever, just holes. The controller itself looks to be in working condition and I wanted to know what my options may be in regards to restoring/repairing it.

The Turbografx controller connector is a round DIN connector right? Something like 5-7 pins probably? If so the only option would be to see if the connector is a standard DIN size, find a replacement, and rewire it.
