Agetec PS1 Fishing Rod Controller

I just found one of these Agetec fishing rod controllers at the thrift store for $5. Haven't had a chance to test it yet but I noticed that the reel doesn't make any clicking noises when you spin it. Are they supposed to be like that?

I've got a Dreamcast "Fission" controller that makes the clicking sound when it spins, so I thought it was kind of strange that this one doesn't make any noise. Anyone here that has one of these know?

I don't know if it is supposed to click or not, but I bet you can't wait to try that out with the Final Fantasy Games!

I remember doing Sony standards testing on a bowling game a looooong time ago. I bowled 300 with one of those ;) (they make you test every licensed peripheral to make sure that none have compatibility issues with games or make them lock up - even steering wheels.)
