Should this belong here since it's a newish system but an old collectors theme to it? if not lock/move whatever.

I'm on eBay today and I see the Game Boy Micro Famicom collector's edition, anyways it's in Hong Kong for $53 $12 shipping, it has the Japanese manual box everything so yea it's complete. I'm wondering if I should get it

Pros:
1)I have the NES SP one so this would complete the collection .
2)It's complete would be great for collection
3)No region code so it can play USA games (if you didn't know)
4)looks cool

Cons:
1)It'll take all my money away (i only get 10 dollars a week for mowing yes I'm a lazy 15 year old with no job...soon)
2)Maybe I could get something different with my money like something more retro?
3)It's in Hong Kong so what if it gets lost?

Why not get the US version? You could probably get a sealed one for a bit less overall.

Well it would be pretty much the same thing just with a different manual and from Hong Kong, anyways all I'm seeing is these "Zomg Japanese Import rare luls" ones and the only USA one is 23 hours left with 13 bids and eventually be a higher price and don't feel like bidding rather buy out now.

That's not a very good price. Don't waste your money.

Save it and wait for the great deal. Being patient on something like this is never a bad idea.

I bought a GB Micro and the famicom faceplate off Nintendo's parts site ;)

What would be a good deal on this?

Keep an eye on your local Wal-Mart. It may be too late for this but a while back, maybe as long as a year, one of my local stores had theirs down to $35 and they had a couple of the anniversary models.

I'm pretty sure that one of those Famicom Micro systems from Wal-Mart will pop up sealed on Ebay sooner or later. If you're going to spend more money on something because it's Japanese or Asian version, make sure it's something different than what we got here in the U.S. That's my rule of thumb anyway.

I wasn't aware that they had released the Famicom-themed Micro domestically; if so, just find it cheaper.

if it was japan only, find it cheaper anyway.

The famicom-colored one is actually the ONLY reason I ever considered a GB Micro, actually.

If you've already got a GB Micro, you can order just a famicom faceplate from Nintendo for $4.95. They released it in North America as a standalone unit. It didn't come with two faceplates like a normal GB Micro, just the famicom one.

THis is actually the cheapest GB micro famicom one on ebay that's why I linked it.

The Famicom faceplate won't give you the red console and marked back like the proper version though:

You also won't get the cool box:

I've bought one (actually two) off Play-Asia. They generally have it on offer at only ~$70.

One thing to remember is you'll need to get a GB Micro power adaptor for your region...
