I went to the flea market today just because it was so nice out this morning but was in for a shock. The guy who sold me probably 25% of my collection passed away from a heart attack earlier this year. :(

This isn't a thread where I'm going to state, "NOW where am I going to get my great deals?!" because that never crossed my mind.

I thought about his kids and his wife. I thought about all the fun I had haggling for prices and just chatting about the classics. He wasn't a collector but just a video game player who happened to run a stall at a flea market that catered to used electronic items. All I know is his man was Baron.

Well, here's to you Baron! Wherever you are - In whatever heaven you believe in - may it be filled with the classics!

Oh dear.

I see you really formed a bond with him.

Sorry Raedon. When I read this thread I had the image of my own favorite vendor in mind, an elderly kind man who didn't know much about games, but sold them anyway. He was a good guy, and a highlight of many a flea market trips for me back in 2006.

I bet in heaven you get a room with wall to wall games and a tv where you get an endless supply of A/V inputs.

RIP.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, Raedon.

There was a person who was a staple at one of the markets I go to who all of a sudden stopped coming. I often wonder what happened to him and this is one of the things that I try not to think of.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss and also that u had to deal with a little extra rudeness from an unnamed poster as well.

My prayers go out to you and his family.
