LOL Dear sweet baby Jesus let's hope not!

eventually overtime it will.... I use krylon fusion which bonds with the plastic at a supposed molecular level but still they can't guarantee it'll last forever ;p For years and years ya sure ;p for you lifetime? Might stretch... but I wouldn't give it more then 10-20 years even with something like krylon fusion.

Very sexy. Reminds me of Sega, for some reason. I feel like painting mine too, since it is mega-discolored... but I might mess it up o_O

It's very simple so you shouldn't have any problems ;p the eject button gets tricky sometimes though ><

I suggest starting with the dreamcast as they are super easy to disassemble ;p

That is one clean paint job. Can't really tell from the pics but did you use some sort of high gloss finish on that?

Hey nice job.

I'd like to paint the bottom half of mine grey, just to hide the yellow :(

How long did this take you? How hard was it?

I will paint all of my systems that I have doubles of. Now all I need is more than one of my systems.

Awesome paint job.

Loving the color scheme! Neon blue + black is one of my favorites-- I built my computer with that as case colors, actually.

The paint job, as well, looks very professional. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who still has the nice, non-yellowed case color on mine, eh? *waits for it to change.* I guess it's inevitable :(

My only suggestion would be to find or make a neon-blue logo sticker (seemed that you painted around it?) and put it on OVER some more black paint, then fill in the rest of the grey.

To the person who said this reminded them of sega, you get bonus points because that is what inspired me. I did use krylon fusion, and plastic primer which gives it that glossy look.

It was extremely easy, the hardest part was finding a bit to take apart the SNES that wouldn't strip the screw or itself in the process. This took only an hour or so, and waiting for paint to dry was most of that.

As for the gray areas, I covered the logo with electrical tape (pretty close to original size IMO), and left some areas gray to match. My main problem with getting rid of them is that I don't trust myself painting the controller ports. I'd hate to ruin them, so I just left grey accents to make up for it.

I think it looks great, except you might want to do something with the logo in the colors you painted it. It looks kind of awkward to have the off center gray rectangle there.

Is there a Krylon Fusion color close to the original SNES grey?

I now have an urge to paint my SNES gold.

Either A) That's pimp as hell :?
Or, preferably, B) That would make it match the gold Zelda cartridges, which is much nerdier.

But I don't think Link to the Past was released as a gold cart, so it's more likely option A).

Too late, I did that to mine. It's not bad at first but it eventualy gets old. Even did that to an extra copy of Zelda. Looks realy nice but for some reason everyone thinks it doesnt work any more.
