Hi guys, i recently picked up a lot of boxed snes games from a fellow who said he used to "work in the industry"...in the box was the following stuff that i have no idea what it is. I'm guessing they are probably snes boards with proto games on them?? I plugged them in and they didn't work, so i looked at the boards and they have bios (j) written on them, so i tried with my convertor i got with it and they worked.

The games are Shadowrun, and The Lost Vikings....just wondering how do i tell if they are just plain old cart boards or if they are really protos? I know both of these games were released to retail so i guess they aren't anything rare.

I also got two actual proto carts of the game Might & Magic II PAL & Striker...i think both of these were released to PAL to?

Yes, the two PCBs in the picture are protos since they're on EPROM boards. The real question is if it's the final build of the games, or earlier versions. Have you checked them for gameplay differences?

I haven't got the originals to play against them...i'll have to download the roms to be able to play. I'll see what i can find.
