Continuing to go through my archives and coming across stuff I have no idea of the current value of. So here's another one. A boxed complete totally mint (even with the pack-in battery) Bandai Wonderswan SwanCrystal in the Wine Red color. Anyone know the current rate they're going for? It's had VERY light usage as I purchased it new from Japan, probably only played 50 or so games of Gunpey and about half an hour of Final Lap 2000.

First of all, I would get that battery outta there. Last thing you want is battery acid all over the unit & packaging. As far as value, they seem to be getting a little scarcer lately so the price has gone up accordingly as they are still good units, probably the best of the Swan set. Given very light usage, no blemishes or screen scratches and good overall packaging state, I'd value it at between $40-50.

Unless they've gone up in price lately in the the states they only go for $20-25. (I haven't lived in the states for a few years, though)
They're definitely easy to find for around $20 in Japan, so figure $35-40 shipped from here.
Great handheld!

They went for that price for quite some time smork, but they seem to be a bit harder to find in the states lately. Not terribly so, but still noticeable. Did the Japanese and HK sellers on ebay (loongsfj was one I remember) stop selling them as much?

Is it worth to pick something like this up? Though I have never seen one in person, is it a decent hand held?

They're great systems, the only problem with the SwanCrystal was that I was always paranoid to carry it with me for fear of scratching up the screen. I had planned on collecting WonderSwan systems at one time but that never came to be.
I'll have to agree that you can't find them stateside as easily as a few years ago. While games have held value and continued to be hard to find in the USA, the SwanCrystals seem to only show up every now and again.
