I am trying to get this running on my xbox but I am stuck getting the actual emulator being installed on it. I put the 2 files I needed to in the tdata and udata folders on the xbox but what do I do after that. I tried burning it onto a disc and run it that way no luck. anyways I just need to know how to install the program so I can play. Thanks .

Are you actually taking the files from *inside* the UDATA/TDATA folders and placing them inside the corresponding folders on your Xbox's hdd, or just replacing entire UDATA/TDATA folders? You're supposed to be taking the files out of the UDATA/TDATA folders (should be named something like "4d414d49") and use those.

You should really just skip using MameOX Platinum though and use CoinOPS instead. Supports a ton of roms that don't play in Platinum and runs the newer games like the 90's Midway stuff a lot faster.

Do I delete the tdata and udata files from MP2 that I put on the xbox before I put Coinops on or does it matter if they are there or not. I have not got coinops yet just asking for when I get it.

It's been a while since I installed CoinOPS, but I don't think you have to delete the old MameOX P2 files from the udata/tdata before installing. You have to do that every time you install CoinOPS though, so keep that in mind whenever you install the updates.

Just remember you don't have to replace the entire udata/tdata folders on your Xbox's hdd; just the folders inside of those. My brother deleted the entire folders on his Xbox and couldn't figure out why CoinOPS wasn't booting up.

This is the one part that is messing me up. So I open the Tdata and udata folders in the xbox and remove all that folders inside and just keep the one folder(4d414d49) in there. Im kinda a noob when it comes so your help is much appreciated.
***Well I got it to run off a DVD so it is not so bad. I will try and get coin ops to run.***
