The reason I ask is because I am thinking of opening up a website for such people. I love collecting for the original Xbox and hope soon to get a 360 and could not find a good site online that help Xbox collectors.

Well, I collect for the original Xbox, but I'm not all that obsessive about it. I just pick up games that interest me, which means no sports games. And I tend to pick up games cheap, rather than try to track down 'rare' games and pay a fortune for them. I always have the opportunity to find rare stuff at some point in the future if I stay patient.

I do. I love my xbox and xbox 360 "collections" more than all of my Nintendo and Sega stuff. I would love to have a website just for the microsoft consoles. Send me a pm when or if you get the site going.

/me points at s1lence and his +/- all but 15 Xbox 360 titles, not to mention his massive grip of XBox titles as well.

I was Xbox crazy myself for a while, but I already had a ton of PS2 games and I didn't think it was smart to get that insane with Xbox as well. I'm glad I didn't, even though I hit 185 titles before I pulled back.

I don't think there really are all that many XBox devoted sites so you may want to focus on that, but with XNA and all of its wonder there are tons of 360 sites out there, many with strong niches like 360Voice, X360a, achieve360points.com and so on.

Are there any Xbox games that go for that much? With the exception of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, I can't think of any Xbox game that goes for more than it did at release. Even Steel Battalion goes for less than original retail.

I collect xbox. To some of my friends/family, saying I collect xbox is an understatement. I currently own 694 xbox games. I also collect xbox lanyards, pens, promo items, ect...

No.

All of us here hate video games ;)

I collect Xbox and 360 stuff. Mainly 360 - 24 Xbox 1 titles, 48 360 DVD titles, and 76 XBLA titles. About to start working on a faceplate collection.

According to the Xbox Wikipedia entry - 949. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox#Games) The last two releases being Madden 08' & 09'.

BTW I do also collect Xbox games and 360 as well.Still going through my collection,so I don't have a total yet,but a fair amount of 360 games & at least 100 for the original.

You could say I collect Xbox 360 games, But I only buy games that I play. Also, I never pay full retail price for my games. Gamefly is my friend for buying.

There are actually quite a few hard to find sealed games like Aliens vs. Predator, Barbie, Loons, Frogger Beyond and a number of others. While Ebay is not the best gauge, they seem to sell for at least MSRP and often above when they are even available.

I would consider myself to be a hardcore Xbox collector. I have a complete US sealed collection, as well as a number of play copies of lots of games. It's probably my favorite system of the last decade or so primarily because it was one of the few consoles that actually delivered PC-like graphics capabilities at a relatively low cost. I also liked the mix of titles released for it. Having said that, I can't stand the design of the actual system or the use of lime green on everything.

I also collect Xbox 360, but not as intensely yet. I'm waiting for most titles to drop under $20 or so to scoop them up.

I pick up Xbox games here and there. Generally, I try to get the Xbox versions of cross platform games since they're more often than not the best releases. There's a nice number of exclusives that I'm interested in as well, though my collection is at the point right now where I've snapped up pretty much everything on the platform that I care for.

..well, except for Steel Battalion. I'm going to have to do something about that sometime.

I have no idea what you are talking about ;)

I actually follow the gamelists on 360voice and Mygamercard.net. Thats how I'm able to keep track of what titles I'm missing. As for accessories there is a site that tracks the faceplates as well. Currently I'm 10th in the world for games played on the 360 (according to 360voice) so if you have any questions shoot me a pm.

I'm sure if you're looking for sealed then yeah, it'll probably cost a decent amount. But I don't think any of those go for much in used condition. Gamestop actually charges more for the PS2 version of Aliens Vs. Predator and Loons is like $7. I was talking more about games that, used or otherwise, go for MSRP or more like MvC2. I can't think of any others on the Xbox off the top of my head. Just doesn't seem to be much of a big money system.

Well I guess I will make a site then. Now I just need a layout, staff, and name. Time to get to work!

Count me among the Xbox enthusiast. It's one of my top three favorite systems and still my most played console. I'll be one of the ones who can help you with an official demo disc list(magazine and non-magazine) for the Xbox. Like everyone else said, keep us posted on how well everything is going in building the site and feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions.

I sold off most of my Xbox collection when I saw the decline in prices, also because I needed the 360 really badly.

I have now about 80 Xbox 360 titles, but I'm selling or trading them in rather fast, I don't think they will become "collectable" like the older consoles. The exeption is of course special and limited editions.

I drool over the GoW2 pre-order thing that Amazon has, where you get an replica of the Lancer.

http://www.amazon.com/Gears-War-Amazon-com-Exclusive-Lancer/dp/B001CLYL24

Hope it also comes in the European countries, but I kind of doubt it. I'm seriously considering to import the game just because of the Lancer. It's awesome!

Count me in too. As for the current and last gen gaming systems, the 360 and original Xbox are my favorite systems. I currently have 174 Xbox 360 games and 451 Xbox games. I plan on completing the Xbox collection over the next year. I tend to pick up all the Limited/Collector's Editions and pre-order bonuses as well. The only thing I don't collect are the faceplates. I am currently looking for a Halo Xbox that is boxed and in very good condition.

Count me in for 2.

1.) I am a x-box/360 enthusiast. My 360 games, I have, I believe, 31 or 41 360 games counting XBL games (I paid for them, they better count, hehehe). I have about 50 or 60 xbox games (i would have to check my list for the total number). I do mini-collections where it is just that. I like doing them because I can centralize on one type of game, and by the time I am done collecting for it, I also gain the collecting knowledge from that, instead of just for one system. Right now I am working on the Sega releases for 360. Depending on the numbers, when I am done with 360, I will probably move to doing all Sega games on Xbox

2.) I can be a part of your crew. I am an internet programmer. My main focus is php, but I can also pound out some java (I can do .net if you really want, but I hate working in it). PM me on this part. We can talk more.

i used to collect for original xbox, i had about 130 games at one point. I was obsessed and bought every game i saw. but now i have a 360 and have about 8 or 10 games for it. I cant afford to collect for 360, but am always looking for cheap games. I sold some xbox a while ago but still have about 70 games. I am trying to sell them all to buy more 360 stuff.

PapaStu:

Spam? Really? How about directing me to the Buying and Selling thread? Or was it taken down?

I am a long-time site visitor who recently registered. A little help and some courtesy would be welcome.

Never mind. Some one else answered my question. Thank you.
