What is the game play like on Gungriffon Blaze for PS2? Is it like Armored Core or something else? Is it good? Is it worth 10 bucks?
I know that the game started on Saturn, but I missed the whole Saturn generation, so I just need a little info here...
Just let me say that I value the opinions of the Roundtable in relation to my game purchases...

GG Blaze is worth a tenner, and if it had shipped closer to that price point instead of $50, it might not've been the second-worst-selling PS2 launch title. It's not in the slightest like Armored Core, but a (mostly) 60-FPS first-person mech shooter. Fun stuff, but fairly short. Adequate first-generation PS2 graphics. I got to help throw about 10,000 copies of it around a Bay Area warehouse just before the PS2 launch, which was a total nightmare, not least of which because only one person in said warehouse spoke English.

I'm always interested in whatever Working Designs serves up, but I only took Blaze out of the box for an hour and put it away. My main problem was I couldn't figure out how to reverse the axis for the targeting thingamabob; I have to play with uo as down and down as up. Also, the graphics are real weak for a PS2 game. When you load up a missile, you see it sitting there in front of you, which I think is pretty stupid.
However, I didn't spend much time with it, and according to the instructions you can reverse the axes. Pick it up if you're a collector cause:
-it's 10 bucks (mine was 8)
-it's a launch title
-it's Working Designs

Fixed your typo. :)
Agreed that it's worth 10 bucks btw - and if you can track down the first game for the Saturn it's also quite good.

Well worth $10.00 bucks..
I paid full price for it when it came out.
I'm stuck on a mission in the the game,,It sits on the shelf..,but once in awhile I try to pass that mission..

Yeah, I paid $15 and I'm happy with it. But yeah, the customization is really minimal compared to AC. You just choose a couple of weapon systems in your loadout. The thing that cheeses me about the controls (and I don't think you can change it--PLEASE somebody tell me if I'm wrong) is that the thumbsticks are reversed from what has become the de-facto FPS standard. In Gungriffon Blaze, the left stick controls targeting on the X/Y axis while the right stick moves you forward/backward and strafes you left/right. After having played Unreal Tournament and Red Faction for about a million hours, it was somewhat of an adjustment to reverse the brain-thumb connections.
Once I got it straightened out, though, it was a good time.

Typo? Am I missing something? Please explain.

Game Arts, Kid. Game Arts developed the game, whereas Working Designs localized it. Gus felt it was important to point that out.
