I was warned by many of you when I was considering my first game that once you start it becomes an obsession.(I believe Flack told me that) Well here I am only just over a year after my first purchase and I just came home with games 5 & 6 with 2 others in the works. The problem is I keep buying broken machines because they are cheap and because I want to fix & learn to fix them. If any of you have been reading my other thread about the Joust I just bought, that is my first attempt. I have no knowledge about any of this stuff, but I can't pass up a cheap game.

The list stands at:

Pucman Cocktail (working, no sound) Paid $125
Galaga Cocktail ( Fully working) paid $250
Firepower Pinball( goes into attract mode, but won't play) estate sale $120
Joust (Great original condition, won't fire up yet, but I got parts on the way) $250

Just got yesterday from ebay which was local to me:

Galaga Upright( missing main board) ($160) (I have a spare bootleg board to put in)
Super Pacman(Cab is in great original shape, has all parts, lights work, monitor powers up, but no picture also missing bezel($87.50)

Possibly buying soon:
Burgertime Upright all original cab working $200
Spyhunter (needs power supply) $200

Even if they are broken, they still look cool sitting next to each other. Luckily I am not married and just bought a house with an old four car garage. It is not the best garage, but it keeps the games dry.

A warning to all of you thinking of your first cabs. If you don't have the space, don't do it. It's like Lays potato chips, you can't just buy one!!!

Nice price on the Super Pac-Man cab!

Super-Pac is my favorite Pac-family game.

That's one of the things I mention pretty early on in Invading Spaces. Like you, I bought a lot of broken games early on. It's a good way to get games inexpensively, but if you're going to do that you have to be willing to both learn about them and work on them. Just be careful not to get too many, as it's easy to get overwhelmed and not know where to start. Sounds like you are doing great so far ... where are the pictures? :)

Those are some great prices! I don't blame you for picking them up since you've got a place to put them. Pics!
