I plan on getting a wavebird by the end of next week, and I figured that's enough time to get everyones opinion on it. Should I go ahead with it, or skip it and buy an extension cable? The last cordless controller I used was for the NES, and it sucked pretty bad. I don't want another piece o' crap like that. I appreciate the input, thanks!

I love my Wavebird, and plan to buy another. Loooooooooooong battery life, with response like it's corded. Really!

The only downside, is no vibration. If You really want vibes, get a cord. When I want vibes, I use a corded one.

I have small kids, and the wavebird has saved my cube countless times. No cord tripping/console yanking. :D

I love my wavebird. I've been using it since it came out and I only had to change the batteries once. I don't miss the rumble one bit and I love not having to sit so damn close with the short cords. If you want to play all the way down the hallway or in another room, I works just as good as if you were within 2 feet. :D

I have a mild preference for the shape of the wired pads, but yeah, WaveBird's as good as wireless controllers get at this point.

Definitely a good purchase. Laying in bed 20 feet away from my cube playing on my 25" tv is great... I just turn it off and leave it on my nightstand. Now if only I had a remote to turn the cube on/off I'd only have to touch the thing to change games.

Dude, get one. Because of my wireless, I was able to play SSBS against my friend while I was taking a piss on the third level of my house.
I can seriously walk outside, outside of my house, and it still works perfectly.
Also, if you get really mad, you can throw em acroos the room in a fit of rage. I have done that to mine countless times and it still works like when it just came outta the box.

I love my wave bird as well, it works great. Just as a side note, I noticed that best buy was selling the wavebird/GC carrying case combo for cheaper than just buying the wavebird, I think the price was 19.99. Check it out, I think they are leftovers from a promotional done over the Christmas season.

I have 2 wavebirds and it's the best purchase I made for my cube. You don't have to worry about someone pulling your gamecube off of a shelf or table and it has great distance & never has any problems with the connection to the gamecube.

That is how I got my wavebird.. They only had 2 of them left when I got mine (before zelda launch) and haven't seen the deal sense.

You might wind up winning another one in the pub contest, too.

It is a great controller just don't use it to close to a 2.4 ghz cordless phone. You get some interference.
