So he should open a sealed system to see if it is in good condition?

There was one that went on eBay for about $1,350, but that one was VGA graded. I'd guess about $300-$350.

duh?

the box with the blurry images is quite a bit harder to find then the one with the more solid images and will command a higher price, so yeah it matters.

look at the screen shots on the box if they are blurry (looks more like what the gb screen really looks like) then you have the blurry box, if they are crystal clear then you have the second box.

I'd say you would get around $400. Show me pictures?

Guys.. ignore the grading thing please... =/

WE are the collectors, WE!

btw, I doubt it will go for more than 500...
(the grading thing can be bullshit)

I second that, please don't give in to grading.

I dont know about Gameboy but for my handheld Sega CDX, which was brand new, I got $600 about three years ago. What is this VGA grading crap anyway? Back in the day people used to look at the item and pictures and judge from their own experience of what the game is worth, not have some douche from a 3rd party tell them what he thinks. This will only lead to a bunch of rich boys thinking they are above everyone else because they got a VGA copy of a game for 3 times the price you could get one for without the grading. But I guess if it makes the game more valuable its better for us collectors :)

Watch it go for $150 on ebay this year..heh

Just seeing prices decline all over ebay makes me think this. Things that would me out of reach for me normally are selling for well within my price point. Recession? Gas prices? Whatever it is, people (well, most people) just don't seem to have the cash nowadays. I got raped on a few auctions that should have commanded much more than they ended for. Good luck tho...but I would recommend hanging on to it for awile..
