Anybody pass on Madden 09 for NHL 09? Thought 08 was amazing, and 09 can only be better. I think NHL series is a lot better then the Madden series for now, but that's probably because I'm a slightly bigger hockey fan. Anyone else excited for this game?

I did not pass up Madden 09 for NHL 09 probably because I'm the opposite of you. I'm a much bigger football fan than hockey fan. I need to play a NHL game again soon though its been a long time since I tried one out.

08 was a damn good game. 09 will be better. Except my favorite team (NY Rangers) dont have Jagar. :(
I always pass madden up for NHL.. ;) Explains why I have no Madden games in my collection. LOL

I still need to play catch up and get Rugby 08. Dude, I will pass on Madden 09 for Rugby 09 for sure.

*Shudder* Although what would really kill me would be the same jersey on Mats Sundin.
I want to buy both games really, I just won't spend enough time playing them to justify the purchase in either case. I think sports titles are great for the longevity they provide (playing through a season game by game takes *ages*). I'm still trying to beat GTA IV though, so I don't know where I'd find the time to play a full season as the Leafs :)
