Redoing this.
Looking for a build of Homeworld 2: Dust Wars. Looks like this

The game was supposedly completed (along with an extended version of the above trailer) though I haven't heard of either one seeing the light of day outside of employee hands :( The game was drastically changed cause it was deemed unmarketable to the masses and wanted more than sales to just the hardcore HW niche. So does anyone have a build of this? Latest preferable but any would do.
Offering 3-5 grand for it depending on how complete the build is. Also looking for the extended trailer.

id never heard of that, the original homeworld rocked something fierce. never played the expansion or the 2nd one though. *urge to capture multi ion frigates rising*
Cataclysm was pretty cool ;p though not made by relic. HW2 was also very cool, though not as cool as the original 2. Dumbed down a fair bit, formations were basically stripped from the game (what few there were were useless), the unit count was super low and the specials were pretty much gun :| It was also a lot more two dimensional, sure it was in a space and you could go up and down and shit but everyone pretty much fought on the same plane.
Dustwars was supposed to be a true sequel, with megaliths included :o Sadly though it was supposedly "too complicated" and wouldn't appeal to the mainstream halotard/starcraft fucker so it was axed and got remade into the HW2 you see today.
Don't take it the wrong way though, HW2 is definately worth playing it's just that it could have been oh so much better....
Also that was the original HW2 trailer released (when dust wars was still on track and planned for release, that wasn't something that was dug up)
edit: Cataclysm also isn't exactly an expansion, completely different race and such, storyline was branched off and it was stand-alone.

it did fare fairly well actually ;p
It's all starcrafts fault anyway :| It ruined the entire RTS genre :| Kinda like Halo and the FPS genre cept it's not complete shit ;p

starcraft is just another modern day dune 2 clone which is the first rts game i can think of that played in that manner.
