I'm talking with a guy about picking up these three SNES games:
1. Adventure of Kid Kleetz
2. Casper
3. Entertainment Mountain Bike Rally
All three of the games are loose, but good condition. I'm wondering what to offer the guy, cause I don't want to lowball; but also don't want to pay more than I "should" (could possibly find cheaper on here or somewhere else). What would be a good price to start at?

if you do not want to offer low, you can offer 30. Exertainment MBR is quite scarce and is worth 25/30 itself

Thanks for the replys. I offered him $50, which he took. I just used what people said on here, plus the rarity guide price (plus some more) and got that total. Considering two of the games are R7's, and the other is an R6, I don't think that's too bad. He's also throwing in another game that wasn't in his original listing. Don't know what that is, though. Now to find the rest of the 600 (about) games I need...

$50 is actually pretty high for 3 loose copies of these games

to the average person selling video games a couple bucks a game is typical. If he knows the value then he would want more. i would have offered a couple bucks each. did he know they were rare games?

I wish i lived in the U.S. .... it is almost impossible to find decent games on the wild ... and if you do, the cheapest snes game you can get is around 10 usd ... nes games are like 5 usd ... it is more possibly to win the lottery than find ps1 or genesis games
i am amazed of the prices and variety of games in garage sales or craiglists

eskobar, down here people want $15 USD for a NES game, and $25 for a loose disc only PS1 game. Don't complain, it's worse up here. :P

What did you expect? Mexican sellers (in Mexicali, BC) are fucking retarded. :P

I've heard too many good things in Tijuana, but i do not know if they got the games on Tijuana or beyond the border ....
Many sellers from Tijuana on "Mercado Libre" have really nice prices and lots of good stuff :D
But you are right, once the good stuff is in the wrong hands the prices are very high

I think he was looking for a fair honest price, not trying to rip the person off for a "great deal" on some rare games.

They were from craigslist. The guy had about 30+ games he was selling, but I had all of them except for these three. He also did know what he was selling, so I don't think he would have taken a couple bucks per game. I think I got them for a fair price, he was happy at that price, so it all worked out.
I talked with him some more when we met up, and he was actually really nice. Turns out he just got into collecting, and he's a big eBay person (for buying, not pricing!). He has a bunch more games I don't have, couple R4's and R5's. I told him how much stuff I have, and he sounded interested in my collection. Not that I'm selling any of it, but at least to unload some doubles.
It's also funny, cause he goes to school about 2 minutes from my parents house, so he's right in the area. Weird how you never run into people like this, especially when I work at GameStop. Figured I would have met a lot of the collectors in the area. Anyway, it turned out to be a good deal, and a great deal for future trades/purchases.
Also on the way home I stopped by a used video games store by my house, and found a CIB Steel Battalion. Box is in good condition, everything else is mint. It was $130. Didn't think that was bad since the only other time I've seen them CIB was when they were release. Spend WAY too much today!
