"The Harry Potter money printing machine rolls on with EA announcing the development of 'Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup'. Players choose one of the Hogwart’s house teams to represent then move on to the world cup. Here they then choose a national team, each with its own personality. The gameplay looks suspect in the films, but the EA press release gushes with enthusiasm and describes it far better than I could –
The magical sport of Quidditch is an exciting and challenging game involving two teams of seven players who fly on broomsticks, four balls in simultaneous play (one Quaffle, two Bludgers, and the elusive Golden Snitch), and a unique scoring system. In Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup, players can control all the Quidditch positions and high-flying moves, scoring with Chasers, defending with Beaters and the Keeper, and trying to capture the Snitch with the Seeker.
The game is currently in development in EA’s UK studio and is expected as an all-formats release at the end of the year."

I am not dissing Harry Potter. It's a fine fantasy series, and that's not my problem. However, this "sport" was possibly the worst part of the films / books, and I can't imagine the video game being that fun at all (maybe as a mini-game, but for $50!). Anyone else think that EA is milking the Harry Potter franchise to death with this or what? I think it's the best idea since Spaceball's: The Flamethrower.
