Don't know exactly...Famicom pics are old,i have 600 CIB games now,not 180..i'd say 7-8000?
But the quantity doesn't matter, the quality does.
I prefer having a complete SuperFamicom fullset than 1500 Duck Hunt loose carts.

Very nice collection Adol, I'm floored.

I'm trying to create a gallery but for some reason I can't seem to find a page where you would register in the gallery section. My site password and user name are invalid there. Any clue what I'm missing?

Thats a beautiful collection you have. No wonder I was able to buy such an uncommon Japanese Mega Drive game from you with ease(TMNT: Return of Shedder).

Adol doesn't have any more money than most of us, he just directs more of what he has to video games than most other people. Kinda like me.:-D

I think the coolest part of the collection is your X68000 and MSX collection. You don't see too many Japanese computer collectors!

I have PC-98,PC-88,FM-7,FM-77,Marty FM Towns games as well, but never made pics of them.

I didn't have time to resize the pics for forum rules, but i updated my old pics, now all my PCE CD/SCD/ACD games have their spine cards, 70% of the whole fullset is factory sealed (around 450 games) :

Japanese Fullset PC Engine Hucard CD/Super CD/Arcade CD/Supergrafx (http://www.videogamecollectors.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=7575)

I updated my old pics of the Nec PC-FX fullset as well:
Fullset Nec PC-FX,50% Factory sealed (http://www.videogamecollectors.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=7464)

Otherwise: General album! (http://www.videogamecollectors.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=6898)

I don't want to repeat this again but as I said before, you were my inspiration on starting to collect complete sets.

Question: I have never seen those demos/games in the PC-FX others pictures except for the one with the pink cover. What are those?

Some are samples.
Other ones are softs you find bundled with the PC-FX GA Board.

What do you do when you buy a sealed game you really want to play? Do you buy a second copy to keep one sealed?

Adol
09-17-2008, 07:09 AM
Yes,i do.
But i played most of my factory sealed games back at the time (i meant i bought them,i played them,i sold them, and bought factory sealed ones for a good price).

Also, not really being a Super Famicom collector, can you tell me about the titles you listed in that pic above? One of them looks like a noodle company promo game I read about in Electronic Gaming Monthly like 15 years ago...

I have seen pics of games from your collection before.....and I never get tired of seeing them! That is truly an awesome collection. I have always wondered, though, about your game systems. Besides the Pepsi DS you have pictured and the Nintendo 64DD, do you have a collection of some rare systems too?

This is Kunio Kun no Dodgeball Dayo Zennin Shuugou Tournament Special gold Cassette.
The rarest SFc game in existence, that you could onyl win in contest.
There is a commerical release of Kunio Kun no Dodgeball Dayo Zennin Shuugou, and there was a national contest. The best players all around Japan went to the finals, and the 8 bestplayers were rewarded with this cart.It contains the "playground" of the Tournament Special only, making it a unique game, different of the original release.
It is for sale in Super Potato in Akihabara for 680000Y (roughly 7000$)

They are:

Just wanted say well done. I think I didnt believe you before when you said your Dreamcast set was factory sealed but I see now that you really were telling the truth and you are infact just more dedicated than the rest of us 10 times more!
I have been collecting Japanese Super Famicon games for a few years now and know how hard it is to find them. Even on my trips to Japan they are becoming more and more rare. The supplies really do seem to be drying up and thats what makes your set even more special! Again well done.:hail:

I buy a lot of my games loose, I am just that kind of guy (mainly cart based systems), but I must say you do have an amazing collection. Those Saturn titles have me drooling on this end, and I only own around 30 Saturn games, most import games (and around 130 NES games, 99% cart only, I buy them to play them as much as possible, just enjoy collecting and playing games).

I'd go bananas if I tried to buy anything complete, sometimes I get lucky, sometimes I don't.

Is there anything else special about it?

Adol
06-27-2009, 03:20 PM
Of course. This is a special not for sale gold hucard of this game, that was given away only during a special meeting, for thanking Namco to be the first "tiers-editor" to produce games for PC Engine besides Hudson Soft.
This is the holy grail of any PC Engine collector.
There is about 20 copies made, and less "known owners" of course.
Less produced and seen than NWC Gold Cart.
Definately less :)
