I went to EB today, and they had the sale going on, PS2 Xbox 149. And Gamecube 99.

Yeah its weird, You can buy a new ps2/xbox for 150 or buy a used one for 175. Yet another reason why i don't shop at EB very often.

YEah the one in the Bangor Mall. Maybe the sale wasn't actually going on BUT they did have it advetised outside the store.

So the cut finally happened. $179 for PS2 & XBox and no word from Nintendo yet, though $129 seems likely by the end of the day. Then the PS2 is supposed to go back up to $199 next month with the network adaptor included.

Yeah.. don't they know that the rules? I thought it was current practice to knock $50 off the price every time they announced!
Sony's so bloody cheap! That PS2 is years old now, and they still won't knock it down significantly. Microsoft is just matching them. And, we know that Microsoft isn't making any money from the sale of an Xbox...

Microsoft or Nintendo could make up ground by doing a $50 price cut. Won't happen, but it could work.
