I see that MS are now releasing Xbox controllers in colors. It seem to me the next logical step is systems in colors. Has anyone heard anything?

No..I haven't heard anying..but a friend of mine in Seattle just traded some Neo Geo items for a clear green Xbox..
He wanted and Xbox and asked me if I knew anything about the clear Green casing..
I have no answer for him yet..
I did see a pic of a clear green cased Xbox on another site once.

The clear green Xboxes are XDKs, or Xbox Debug Kits, which game journalists and beta-testers use to play prerelease versions of Xbox games. The XDK is much spiffier-looking than the consumer Xbox, no question.
(The debug PS2 is the same color as the consumer PS2, but it has the word "TEST" on the top instead of "PS2." It's trippy. I don't have a debug GCN, so I can't report on its trippiness or lack thereof.)

This is the letter I received today from my friend in Seattle.
Check out this site.
Did you see this online?

There is alot of information about that one. The other day I helped the guy who bought my Candy Cab deliver the Cab to his office, and he showed me that Transparent XBOX.
It is the developers model and only plays files directly from their computers. It is pretty cool, he had tons of different emulators on it. He showed me some Neo Geo Games he had on their and the were perfect ports of the Neo!
I could not tell any difference at in the gameplay.
He is still trying to find me one of those Clear Green ones, the white transparent cases are just development units.
I am undecided wether or not to get an XBOX even if it is a cool transparent one, because I can easily get MAME or another Emulator and put it in my Cab. That guy told me he would give me 2 DVD's which had tons of Emulators and Shit loads of games ready to play via the XBOX.
I do like the controllers on it though, nice and big to fit my hands.

There were clear green debug units for testing infinished games. They won't play retail games. It will say Debug Unit on it.There were also a limited number of Green Xboxes given to the members of the team and signed by Bill Gates. These will play retail copies of games. They are also releasing the Green Xboxes in Europe with 2 green controllers very soon. They were supposed to be out for the 1 year anniversary, but never made it. Unless you want one autographed.

The transparent green Xbox has just been released here in the UK as a limited edition. Hasn't the US got that?
There's also the really limited Panza Dragoon Xbox and the 'smokey' japanese editions. Take a look at:-
