XYXZYZ

My page in the Room of Doom galleries was way overdue for an update, and I finally did that today. XYXZYZ' Room of Doom (http://www.videogamecollectors.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=36188&g2_navId=x3057c58a)
I'll just show some of the highlights here.

First, the console setup- it hasn't actually changed much. It's been rearranged, more compact and has less figures and posters and other junk. I actually put the Kasumi scroll there because I didn't want a plain black field in the background, and it was dark/blue and a lot cooler looking than the Zelda scroll I was considering. The consoles on the side are PC Engine DUO, Sega Master System and Sega Genesis/CD.

Still have the tate TV (Dreamcast running Ikaruga there) though I don't use it quite as much. (You see why when you scroll down) The joysticks are the domestic Hori Tekken 5 arcade joysticks, with cosmetic modifications. But the one on the right, I replaced the board with one from a cheap Pelican joystick with more features like autofire and digital/analog mode select. You can see the switches there... Oh, and ROB is employed! He holds the remote for the TV, and a tin of delicious Nintendo mints. Which I've had for about a year. They were delicious a year ago anyway.

Here's some interesting junk, a Famicom/FDS and Super Famicom display with original boxed Super Mario Bros, Zelda and Zelda II games. Sort of a museum piece that fascinates the casual gamers. There's stacks of early 90s EGMs on the bottom shelf, and the CDs on the right are my PC Engine, Saturn etc. imports.
So that's great for console gaming, but what if you want arcade gaming? When you turn to the right...

These are all multigame arcade machines- a Neo Geo and three MAME machines I've posted about in the past, as I finished each one. We have a Neo Geo MVS with original hardware, "DANMAKU", a MAME machine for vertical shooters, "Warp Zone", a general purpose MAME machine, and the Capcom Coin-Op Classics Collection machine, with MAME and Xbox Capcom games running on a modded Xbox. They're a hell of a lot nicer than that little white Proplay cabinet I had, anyone here remember that? I think it's quite a well rounded setup considering I only have one corner of a little apartment room to work with.
:onfire:And here's the big update to the game room, the awesome new toy...

And EPSON POWERLITE 720 HOME THEATER PROJECTOR! 1600 ANSI Lumens with a 10,000:1 contrast ratio! And don't you want to see what's on the other side?

A 92 inch matte white, 1:1 gain screen with retractable curtains for widescreen or 4:3 applications! It's great for movies or gaming. And speaking of gaming, now let's have some fun with it...
