Is this a reliable adapter to use N64 or PS2 controllers for my pc?

That's the exact one I have. I bought it in 2003 and it still functions perfectly (not that I use it all that often).

A buddy of mine is in need of a PS1 to USB device; would this suit his needs well or are there any funky latency issues? He'll most likely be using it with ZSNES, though I'm working on eventually getting him up and running w/ PS1 and N64 emulation as well (one day...).
I'm planning on buying one or two for myself for the N64 side; as well as the Saitek P2500 works for N64 games (the button setup works really well for it), I wouldn't much mind at all being able to use the original controllers :)
Are save game packs supported or is that pretty much exclusive to the adaptoid? I've always wanted to backup my N64 save games that are languishing on my little save pack thingy. :(

I'm not sure if it's the USB adapter or the emulator, but my N64 controller memory card isn't recognized. As far as the quality of control with PS1 emulators...it works great. I've never done a comparison of this adapter vs. a real PS1, but Castlevania: SotN is working just fine. I'm able to hit all the jumps just like the real deal. The timing feels just like it should.

Probably the adapter preventing you from using the card...that's all good, though. Thanks for the info, I'm going to buy a couple of these babies. :)

I have had one for a couple of years and it works fine. I still use it today and have had no problems at all:) Buy one and you won't be disappointed.

I had some Adaptoids awhile back, but sold them off when I found out how much they were fetching on ebay :) If you can find them, they are most certainly the best when it comes to this type of adapter (for N64 that is). That is not to say that these cheaper models will not work just fine however..

Did anyone try to see if it works on the PS3
