I have a few questions about prototypes that I hope some people here can answer :-D
1.Are there any cool action, strategy, or RPG protos for the Nes,snes, genesis?
2.How much do they usually cost and where can you find them?(Ebay?)
3. Not really a proto question but I seem to remember someone on ebay awhile back was selling an english version of "Mother"(1st Earthbound game) for the Nes and calling it a proto. I was told that it was a fake and that he burned the Rom onto a board and out it inside an empty nes case. Can anyone here make stuff like that?

That game was already released though. Unless yours has something different in it.

ebay has been cracking down on them, so you probably won't find them listed as protos, but they are there. the cheapest way is to find someone who works in the industry and doesn't care about keeping their protos. sometimes other collectors have some for sale or trade and you can get them from them. you can check fleamarkets and yardsales, but your odds of finding one aren't very good, but it depends on what area you're in. on ebay you will pay top dollar. nes protos have been going for less than 125 for a while now, before armyx started listing them they would go for 200+. genesis protos go for under 50 usually and snes go for around 50 unless they are on a big board. that's for released protos of course, and the highly desireable games (like final fantasy 3) will go for more and so will unreleased games.
