OK DC emulators are all new to me, so do forgive me. But can somehow point me in the right direction on where to find info about them? I recently picked up a dreamcast, and well, i wanna learn about emulators for them =)

I found that the Dreamcast can run a tremendous amount of things
Not only old game systems but computers as well as...
And this is not posted on dcemulation.com by the way but you
should check out there home brew section for Quake

MAME roms and be warned by me there is more than 1 DCemulator
for MAME. But this site also has an emulator to run Neo Geo games
on the DC. There link:
http://digita.mame.net/download.htm

But there is one thing you should know about that site. Oh it does
have the Emus... but there are no lists telling you what runs on which
emulator. They can be found on another site (why I don't know)

www.chez.com/omc1/MAMED/Index.htm

Also you should know that so far as I know there is no GBA emu
for DC

The utopia disk boots to a screen in which you can swap it out with a non bootable emulator or game. In the beginning of the "warez" scene regardind the DC, games were being ripped but did not have the ability to just boot on their own, the boot loader was needed for that. Still, there are some games/emulators that cannot "self-boot" and the loader is still needed.

ahh cool, thanks for the info on the utopia disk! :) Have any clue on what i can do to get my Dreamsnes to work? Done everything i know, using DC factory and its begins to load, then just constantly resets itself. Any ideas? thanks alot :)

I really wish I could help you with this. I got rid of my DC months ago, and made my DreamSNES months before that. From what I remember I didn't use DCFactory. I just used a "directory to boot" program from DCEmulation. I just put all the goodies in a folder and ran this program on it, which in turn made a bootable DJ image. I remember I also had to create a "list" file...there is a program there to do this as well. What it did was make a list of the roms, and when the emulator ran it would read that list, instead of trying to pull a directory of the cd. See, without that list the DC grinds and grinds trying to pull up the list of roms. Be sure you do this when you make one. You can add your MP3's to a directory in the emulator as well, and they'll play while you are in the menu screen, but I didn't do this as I wanted to max out the cd with roms and not waste space. You DO however need one mp3 in there, so don't delete the default one. I managed to get 400 roms on the cd, but 90% of them only run at 75%. Some run at near full speed...like Smash TV...but very few of them do unfortunately. If all else fails, I'll try to find my copy and make youa copy of it (you just pay the shipping and for the cd)
