On the one hand, if they abort the PS2 release because of this, quite a few will be unhappy. On the other, THE best version of arguably THE best KoF title with easily-accessible online play.

Yes.

Yes. :D

Oh, SNK.

If only you could release KOF '94 Rebout here too. And Sunsoft Collection. And Fu'un Super Combo. And Garou.

Bastards. ;_;

And here I was thinking the XBLA release schedule was looking bare for the next few months (well, except for Penny Arcade episode 2 and the rumoured Scrabble game). Two words: SHIT YEAH. :D

As long as we keep supporting their releases, they're bound to get around to them eventually!

True. I didn't think we'd get the World Heroes Anthology out of all things, but... well, SURPRISE! *jazz hands* :D

Now if we do get the Fu'un Super Combo, I will pop a thousand corkscrews into the heavens out of delight.

I think Sony blocked KOF 94 Rebout from coming out stateside for being mostly 2D.

I've supported SNK by buying all their compilations (even the shittastic Arcade Classics), but my hopes are low.

That just means they need to bundle it in with another game or they need to be willing to slip it out at like $15 to get it green lit for release.

This news came just in the perfect time; I have not been able to play KoF '98 because the DC is not connected and I am about to get a 360 soon.

Dude, they SHOULD sell 94 Rebout and 98 UM for $15 - I'm willing to pay $25-30 for the other compilations, provided they don't suck. Or they could sell 94 Rebout and 98 UM as a set for $30.

Not holding my breath, though.

People...It's all about...

Real Bout Fatal Fury Special :D

I miss playing this game so much. It's sitting in my parents basement as we speak. I'm down to 19 AES games left with no system ahhh...I miss the good old Neo memories. Snif snif

Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 2 has a virtually perfect port of Real Bout Fatal Fury Special (and 1 + 2!). No slowdowns. No freezes. Virtually no load times. The only problems I found are the sucky PS2 pad, and the fact that the music is streamed off the disc so it sometimes takes a fraction of a second to load.
