I got the idea to do a little backwards compatibility-related survey here.
The questions:
-2600, or 7800?
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
-Gamecube, or Wii?
-Game Boy, or GBC?
-GBA, or DS?
And here are my answers:
-2600, or 7800? - None, as I currently don't own either system, but this will change as I'll be getting a 2600 soon.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? - PS2, with 110 games. I have 85 PS1 games and don't own a PS3.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? - None, as I don't own either system
-Gamecube, or Wii? - Gamecube, with 72 games. I don't own a Wii, so there's not much of a competition here. :p
-Game Boy, or GBC? - Game Boy, with 58 games. I have 24 GBC games.
-GBA, or DS? - GBA, with 87 games. I have 20 DS games.
So, what about you?

2600, or 7800? -I use my 7800 to play all my stuff but have several 2600s. I have a modded Atari 2600 that needs some fixing. I have all but 5 games for the 7800 set, and I have about 400 Atari games that include hacks, homebrews and special show carts
PS1, PS2, or PS3?-I have a PS3 with 3 games :(, 100 PS2 titles and 400 PSX games. I see my PS2 game library growing alot in the future. Again I have all three, but I use my 20gig to play all. It looks very nice in HDMI.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?-360 to play most my titles, but again I have both. I have about 25 360 titles and about 100 xbox games. I wish that MS just made an easier fix for the whole BC thing. Again, I own several Xbox systems, but my 360(original from day -3 that I won BTW)keeps on trucking. I am going to be pissed off when it dies.
Gamecube, or Wii?-I use my Wii to play all the games, but have a Gamecube hooked up with my Gameboy player. I have 10 Wii games and about 55 or So Gamecube games.
-Game Boy, or GBC?-I need to get an SP2, but I have a DS to play my 30 DS games and 75 GBA games. I have about 50 or so GB and GBC games, with systems to play them on, but they stay boxed.
-GBA, or DS?
You know what I love about this hobby(aside from meeting cool people like yourself digitalspace :)), is that there is a system for anyone, retro or not, with a ton of games to had for cheap. I actually had people laugh at me when I used to ask for genesis games in stores. It is amazing what people start to care less about once a system or games stays out of the spotlight or is not marketed for anymore. Great Post
PS..I will get off my butt and send you out your Vader 2600 with games that you won this next week.

-2600, or 7800? 2600. I hardly have any 7800 at all, plus I find the 2600 games to be more collectable for some reason. I own both consoles, usually using the 7800 due to my 6-switcher's sound being a bit on the dodgy side.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? PS2. Eeeeeeeeasily. I have about 170 PS2 games, 105 PS1s and about 20 PS3s (growing though). PS2 and PS1 are by a long distance my biggest collections. My PS3 is used exclusively for PS3 games, but my PS2 is still hooked up, and I recently acquired a PS1 with a screen.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? 360, by virtue of the fact I never owned an original Xbox (and still don't- though they are something like £10 in my local GAME I'm holding out for a 'special' console if you follow my meaning.)
-Gamecube, or Wii? Gamecube by a factor of 2. I bought one on launch day and played it consistently until I got my Wii. Still hammer away at Cube games from time to time, though now on the Wii.
-Game Boy, or GBC? Original GB. Ironically I started playing them on an original GBA, then I picked up a GBC cheap, and acquired a cheap Gameboy Pocket recently.
-GBA, or DS? GBA by a factor of 2. I own an original GBA, an SP and a Micro so the DS (a fatty, incidentally) is pretty much exclusively for DS games.

2600/7800: About 40 total, 15 or so on the 7800 side
PS1/2/3: ~20 PS1, ~40 PS2, 8 PS3 (plus 3 download games)
Xbox/360: 10 Xbox (4 of which aren't compatible, and my original XBOX has gone to the bit bucket in the sky), 3 360 (plus 7 download games)
Gamecube/Wii: 5 Gamecube, 3 Wii
Don't have any GB/GBC
GBA/DS: 4 GBA, 6 DS

2600 or 7800? 2600 - 7 games. Don't own a 7800 yet.
PS1, PS2, or PS3? PS1 - 900+, PS2 60 (sold all the shitty ones off when I needed the cash... had about 400 at one point), and PS3 34 BR games. about 20 PSN downloads.
Xbox or Xbox 360? Xbox 1 - 3/400, Xbox 360 - 240 + 157 XBLA full versions...although 360 is gaining quick.
Gamecube / Wii: GC - 92 disc based, 30 Wii + 60 VC.
GB / GBC - I sold most of these when I was desperate for cash. I had 2 big boxes FULL of unboxed GB carts. Sold them for £1000, which worked out around £3 per cart. Got about 20 GB games and 10 GBC games left. And a 64Mbit flashcard.
GBA/DS - 100+ GBA originals + a Supercard Mini + a Flash2Advance 256mbit, 40 DS originals + an R4.

-2600, or 7800? 40 2600. I don't have a 7800 or any 7800 games.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? 42 PS2. 15 PS1. 2 PS3. I neglected the PS1 over its lifetime in favor of the N64. I regret not making some purchases in that period. I don't have a PS3 yet, but I've been buying some games for it.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? 29 Xbox. 0 Xbox 360. The "red ring of death" phenomenon is keeping me at bay at the moment. Still I don't see my Xbox 360 library ever surpassing my growing Xbox one. I've been preferring the Xbox, PC, Wii or PS3 versions of the games, if such exists. The only 3 games that are still in my wish list are Tales of Vesperia, Halo 3 and...Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 :D
-Gamecube, or Wii? 46 Gamecube, 4 Wii. Not because a lack of games for the Wii but because I usually buy from the bargain bin and not many have shown up there. :)
-Game Boy, or GBC? 6 GBC, 1 GB. I only bought Metroid 2 for the GB, but I'll try to get the Mega Mans later.
-GBA, or DS? 29 GBA, 7 DS. Same as with the Wii.

-2600, or 7800? I have all of the 7800 games, and about 350 2600 games, so 2600 there.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? None.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? None.
-Gamecube, or Wii? Gamecube, but I just got a Wii last month, so it will change soon I'm sure.
-Game Boy, or GBC? Game Boy by a small margin. I never had a GB, only the GB player for SNES. I started buying GB and GBC games when I got a GBA.
-GBA, or DS? GBA, because they're cheaper for the most part.

-2600, or 7800?
20+ vs. 1. I tend to find interesting VCS carts so even after selling off nearly 60 carts last year I've allready accruded a bunch more. Without owning a 7800 loose carts just aren't too appealing. Now the 5200 has an adaptor for the VCS, but my mobo doesn't support it and I haven't decided to purchase the upgrade kit for my 4-port since I already own a VCS and they're a much cheaper alternative.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
120+ vs. 30+ vs. 0. I've been collecting PS1 games much longer and are cheaper + easier to come by. The PS2 is nice but there are plenty of titles I just stay away from, prefer a more unique experience with it. I've been playing my PS1 games on my PS2 for nearly 2 years now and haven't had my PS1 plugged up since.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
2 vs. 0. Don't own either but may own an Xbox sometime sooner than a 360 since they are now $40 locally, easy to come by ect. Only problem is there just aren't many games from the library I care for. I doubt I'll own more than 15 Xbox titles and many of those and others are already on the PC that I own.
-Gamecube, or Wii?
25+ vs. 0. No Wii though I'm thinking of getting one to put downstairs for news, weather, and information more so than just games. Would like to get one of those nice Hori sticks and some arcade games from the online service. The GC has been hooked up to the TV for the past 4.5 years and if a Wii came into the house I'd prolly pack it up into storage until I move.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
20+ vs. ~10. GB titles are more frequently available than GBC. Owning a Super Game Boy is nice too. Since the GBC uses less batteries though I generally grab that for playing both. I don't own a GBA handheld so that's not an option.
-GBA, or DS?
3 vs. 19. Never bought a GBA so the DS is the whole reason for even buying GBA titles.

2600 / 7800: 20ish to 0 No 7800 currently. If this was done when I was 6 i'd still have the 7800 and bunches of games.
PS1 / PS2 / PS3: 750+ to 450+ to 2 I don't have a PS3 currently so I have only those 2 games.
Xbox / Xbox 360: 184 to 42 Xbox won't get bigger, 360 will.
Gamecube / Wii: 118 to 29 Cube won't get bigger, Wii will.
Gameboy / GBC: About a wash at 10-15 games each
GBA / DS: 40-50 to 246

-2600, or 7800?
2600. I have a 2600 unit somewhere in the house without about 15 or so titles for it. I've never owned or have even played a 7800. :beaten:
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
PS2 most likely. It's pretty close but I'm sure PS2 tops PS1 in my collection for most titles (I think I have more PS2 than anything else to be honest). I don't have any PS3 games as of this writing (or a system but that's never stopped me from buying the games before having the system) :ass:
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
Xbox. Easily. I don't have a XB360 yet but I do have some games for it. I know I will eventually own a 360 unit (especially after this last price drop) but I have a TON more regular Xbox games than I do 360 titles.
-Gamecube, or Wii?
Gamecube. I don't have a Wii console yet so I've been holding off buying games for it. I did actually pick one up last night (Octomania) 'cuz it had a really good price, but that's 1 title versus quite a few on Gamecube.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
I thought this would be closer but I just counted and I have double the number of Gboy releases compared to GBC. Alot of my Gboy stuff was picked up as cart only whereas I only own GBC titles if they're CIB.
-GBA, or DS?
As of right now, GBA. I imagine it won't be long before DS eventually overtakes GBA in a few years as it's getting harder to acquire CIB GBA games as easy as it is to acquire CIB DS games.

-2600, or 7800? 120 vs. Complete Set.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? 380 vs. 360 vs. 12
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? 485 to 52
-Gamecube, or Wii? 68 to 10
-Game Boy, or GBC? 52 to 48
-GBA, or DS? 44 to 58

(all counts are respective)
-2600, or 7800? - 304 to 38. I like both systems immensely, and the 7800 is the one that's hooked up precisely for the back compatibility.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? - 35 to 15 to 0. Haven't gotten a PS3 yet. I'm more into the PS2 than PS1 though. I inherited about 10 titles with my first PS1 - all sports and wrestling - so a good chunk of my PS1 titles are mostly dead weight from a playability standpoint.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? - 16 to 0. No 360 yet.
-Gamecube, or Wii? - 7 to 0. Same as above.
-Game Boy, or GBC? - 20 to 7. There were only a few GBC titles I really cared about. Zelda games and a few arcade ports.
-GBA, or DS? - 12 to 6. Eventually the DS will eclipse GBA as this is the modern system that's most holding my interest at the present.

-2600, or 7800? I just picked up a 7800 so no contest: 135 for the 2600 and 3 for the 7800
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? PS2 by far. 26 for the PS1, 82 for the PS2, and 6 for the PS3
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? I don't own a 360 so another easy contest. I have 56 games for the XBox
-Gamecube, or Wii? Gamecube by far. I have 105 for the Gamecube and 18 for the Wii
-Game Boy, or GBC? 75 for the Gameboy and 30 for the GBC
-GBA, or DS? The DS wins by a count of 49 to 38

2600, or 7800? - 2600 by a wide margin (boxes of yardsale games from the late 80s/early 90s). 100-20 roughly.
PS1, PS2, or PS3? - ps2 by a little bit (don't own a ps3). Maybe 20 ps1 games, 30+ ps2 games. I did actually sell of a bunch of ps2 games a couple of years ago.
Xbox, or Xbox 360? - xbox by a wide margin (50 to 5 roughly). I just haven't gotten into the 360, and I've sold a lot of the games I had for it. Still haven't bought a single full-priced retail 360 game in the year and a half I've had it.
Gamecube, or Wii? - gamecube, but Wii is catching up. I think I have about 30-40 GC game and about 20 Wii games.
Game Boy, or GBC? - GBC - only owned an original GameBoy for a short time, and sold all the carts. I picked up a few GBC games for use on my GBA, so that kind of wins by default.
GBA, or DS? - GBA, but DS is catching up.

It is the earlier system in every one of these scenarios. But I don't think that's just because I like old games. 7800 has only a tiny handful of games I'd ever actually want. PSX (I refuse to call it PS1) is one of my favorite systems so I have a lot of games for it. I love the Xbox, and don't even own a 360. The Wii is still new-ish whereas I've owned a Gamecube for 5-1/2 years (although the Wii is catching up). The GBC library is smaller, shorter-lived, and IMO not as good as the original Game Boy's (not that I'm a huge fan of either). GBA and DS are very close, but ultimately I also prefer the GBA.
However, I have more GBA games than original GB and GBC combined. I also have more Genesis games than Master System games (it counts!). But you didn't ask those. :p

-2600, or 7800? - done have either
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? - in that order actually, with over 100 ps1 games.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? - i think i have about 20 games for each
-Gamecube, or Wii? - gamecube by far (around 40...) with i think 3 wii games including wii sports
-Game Boy, or GBC? - gameboy by far. about 60 and 30, respectively
-GBA, or DS? - gba by far. around 60 gba and 15 or so ds.

-2600, or 7800? - none
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? - PS1 by far, which is also the system I have the most games for period. I have 204 PS1 games versus 65 for PS2 (and I don't even know how I racked up that many).
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? - I almost said none because I own neither system, but I've ended up with 5 Xbox games (if you count the dual compatible Burger King games) and 2 for 360.
-Gamecube, or Wii? - GamCube with 25 with only 2 for Wii. Not that big on collecting nor playing either just yet.
-Game Boy, or GBC? - I think Game Boy, but I'm one of the rare few that lists both libraries under one list since there's two much grey area to consider them especially distinct systems (since the Game Boy Color basically is just a Game Boy with color). If there were only GBC-exclusive games, I'd separate them, but I can't make heads nor tails out of the games that are compatible with both. Same kind of problem as with the Burger King games, but since those were an exception and not the norm, I just threw them under the Xbox list.
-GBA, or DS? - Not a lot for either. I got 16 for GBA and 7 for DS. The backwards compatibility doesn't play a role here since my SP is my go-to portable, and then I use the backwards compatibility to primarily play Game Boy and GBC games.
And since this topic is related to backwards compatibility, I'll point out that besides the SP, I still prefer to play games on their respective systems of origin.

2600/7800: neither
PS1/PS2/PS3: PS1 - 100's of games
Xbox/Xbox 360: neither
Gamecube/Wii: neither
Game Boy/GBC: GBC - 2 games
GBA/DS: GBA - 46 games
hopefully someday soon I'll finally get a DS, so I can start collecting for it
I'm considering getting a Wii too, so I may start collecting for GameCube also
but what I really wanna do is play my GBA games on TV, so unless Nintendo releases a GBA adapter for the Wii, I may end up getting a Gamecube as well
HMM... everything that I'm considering now is made by Nintendo... pretty scary thought for a former Sega fanboy, but now Nintendo has more Sonic games than any other systems do, so I guess that makes sense... I never would've believed that this would be the case before it all happened though!

-2600, or 7800?
2600 by default, as I don't have a 7800 yet.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
Without looking at the exact number, 1 and 2 are about even. Don't have a PS3.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
360. Only have 3 games for the original Xbox; don't have the original Xbox hardware yet.
-Gamecube, or Wii?
Wii. Have a few GameCube games, but only started buying them after getting the Wii as I also haven't bought the GC hardware yet.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
Original.
-GBA, or DS?
About even.

-Game Boy, or GBC? ZERO
-GBA, or DS? 10 (DS)
It looks like I have no games at all, which is not true. I just focus on other systems. I have games for Vic-20, Commodore 64, Colecovision, Intellivision, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, PSP, Game.com,... and I did had games for sega master system, some games for sega genesis and sega saturn. And I have tons of PC games which require OS from DOS 3.1 to Windows XP, all original in box, but I suppose they are not consider as retrocompatible either.

-2600, or 7800? Atari 2600, easily. I've got over 200, maybe even 300. If I count my 256-in-1 cart I bought from Sean Kelly back in the day, even more!
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? PS2. I've probably got 50-75 titles, and only a handful of PS1 games. No PS3 games.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? Xbox, definitely. My brother's wife probably sold a bunch after their split, but I still have well over 200 accounted for. I've probably only got 20 or so Xbox 360 games.
-Gamecube, or Wii? Gamecube. That one's easy, I only have one Wii game.

-2600, or 7800? - I now have 20 2600 games. Still don't own a 7800 or any games for it.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? - PS2 still has the lead with 145, but the PS1 isn't too far behind with 132. I still don't own a PS3.
-Gamecube, or Wii? - Still don't own a Wii, so it's the Gamecube with 79.
-Game Boy, or GBC? - Game Boy, with 59. I have 27 for the GBC.
-GBA, or DS? - GBA, with 90. The DS collection is currently at 38.

Sure, why not.
-2600, or 7800? - 2600 by a long shot. 300 versus 15. I'd be curious to see anyone tipped in the 7800's favor.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? - PS2 or PS1. We need to reinventory. They are both over 300... likely PS2 is edging out PS1. PS3 stands at 12 or so.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? - 200 Xbox games versus 30. Really just a system age kinda deal.
-Gamecube, or Wii? - Same deal as Xbox, 150 or so versus 30.
-Game Boy, or GBC? - About even! :P
-GBA, or DS? - No comparison. GBA is 100 tops, DS just pushed past 250.

-2600, or 7800? Easily 2600 for me, although I do enjoy the 7800 games I have.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? Probably PS2. Not huge on Playstation in general though.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? This one is close, I'll count it out later maybe. It's more than 30 for each though.
-Gamecube, or Wii? Easily Gamecube. Would have more if either would ever drop game prices...
-Game Boy, or GBC? Also hard to be sure. Probably monochrome due to buying garage sale lots.
-GBA, or DS? This too is a close call for me. I am thinking it's GBA though.

-2600, or 7800? - 57//11
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? - 172//67//~10
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? - 10//4 Never had an xbox till recently, and have never done more than test it. Still don't have a 360, just have a few games anyway.
-Gamecube, or Wii? - 87//10
-Game Boy, or GBC? - 32//23
-GBA, or DS? - 42//12
I think it is hard to draw any conclusions from this sort of comparison. A lot of the reason I have more of the earlier system is because the games have (or had) gotten so cheap. Another way to say the same thing is that my percentage of 'top tier' games on the current systems is probably a lot higher than on the older system. What can I say, I'm a sucker for cheap games.

-2600, or 7800?
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
I don't own any of the above. Period.
-Gamecube, or Wii?
~70 Cube vs. ~15 Wii. Both are still growing, but I will probably own about 100 Gamecube games in the end.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
Game Boy by quite a bit.
-GBA, or DS?
GBA by quite a bit as well. I just started collecting GBA about 1.5 years ago.

-Xbox (Just a demo), or Xbox 360 (0)?
-Gamecube (2), or Wii (11)?
-Game Boy (11), or GBC (4)?
-GBA (6), or DS (13)?

-2600 by default (about 3) I got a Flashback 2 that I'm not going to count. :p
-PS2 (+100) then PS1 (~25)
-Xbox (~20) then 360 (3) no system for 360 yet.
-GC (~70) then Wii (+40)
-GB (~15) then GBC (5)
-DS (+100) then GBA (~60)
I have mostly PS2 and DS stuff. Each over 100 titles.

In all of these cases, I have more older games than newer games. The newer something is, the less I have. The only exceptions are that I have less Sega Master System games than Genesis and less Sega Saturn games than Dreamcast.
This is before selling off the bad games though. Most likely the comparisons will stay roughly the same.

-2600, or 7800?
2600, I've never owned a 7800 game and haven't gotten around to selling the 2600 ones I have.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
PS2, it is one of the main systems I collect for.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
Xbox 360, I only have a couple Xbox games that are BC as I've never owned one.
-Gamecube, or Wii?
Gamecube, it is the other main system I collect. I only have 3 wii games.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
About even I think. Not sure tbqh.
-GBA, or DS?
DS.

-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
In my case, it's simply PS1 vs. PS2, as I own none of the others at this time. The PS2 is winning, as I own 35 PS2 games vs. 19 PS1 games.

-2600, or 7800?
Easily the 2600, but I do have a number of 7800 titles
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
PS1, but PS2 is closing in. When I think about it, for some reason I have never spent all that much time with the PS2. And I have to admit that very few PS1 titles have aged well.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
Xbox, but only because so many good games were practically being given away after Microsoft abandoned the platform.
-Gamecube, or Wii?
Gamecube, though the Wii may catch up one of these days.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
Game Boy. Most of the GBC titles out there are as much garbage now as when they were released.
-GBA, or DS?
About equal, I have a DS but have never been much of a fan of the system. My wife likes it though!

-2600, or 7800?
2600 by quite a wide margin (75-ish vs. 15-ish)
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
I'd have to count, but I think PS1. I sold a bunch of ps2 stuff a few years ago. Don't own a PS3, but I do have 1-2 games for it.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
Xbox by a wide margin. 50-60 games vs. maybe 8-10.
-Gamecube, or Wii?
Gamecube by a wide margin. 50-60 games vs. about 20.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
GBC - I don't have any original GB games (only 2 GBC games anyways)
-GBA, or DS?
I have to check, I think it's close. I probably have a few more GBA games.

-2600, or 7800? - None because I don't collect systems earlier than the Nes
.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? - PS1 with over 200 US and Import games. I have a good amount of PS2 games but only 2 PS3 games.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? - Xbox with 60-80 games. I have about half that amount in 360 games.
-Gamecube, or Wii? - Gamecube, as I only have 2 Wii games.
-Game Boy, or GBC? - Game Boy and I don't think I have any GBC games outside of a multicart.
-GBA, or DS? - GBA but almost half the amount in DS games.

PC, Genesis, NES, MD, Super Famicom, Super NES, Famicom, X68000. Probably following at some distance are the newer disc-based consoles, arcade PCBs (doesn't count as a "system") and then other obscure things.

I replied that I had over 200 Atari games. I now realize how low that number is. I've probably got close to 350 nowadays.

The questions:

None, I don't have any Playstation games
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
None, I don't have any Xbox games.
-Gamecube, or Wii?
Gamecube. I don't have any Wii games.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
Game Boy. I only have a few GBC games.

The questions:
-2600, or 7800?
2600 - I only have about 6 games for it, but I dont own a 7800
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
PS1 by a mile. PS1 games tally up close to 800, PS2 tallies around 120, and PS3 tallies 34 boxed games and about 49 downloadable PSN.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
Xbox 1 is at the 4 / 500 mark, Xbox 360 about the same if you count XBLA titles. Give it a week and I will have more 360 than Xbox1 .
-Gamecube, or Wii?
Gamecube weighs in around 90, and Wii is around 30, and will undoubtedly not get much bigger than that. Wii games tend to be an utter waste of money.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
Game Boy, After selling almost all of my old GB/GBC games, I only have 5 or 6 carts left, 4 of which were mono GB.
-GBA, or DS?
GBA. I have about 300 GBA games, and around 30 DS. To be honest, even though there are more games on DS, I prefer my PSP thankyewverymuch - DS has horrible emulators, whereas I can run Sega Mega CD games perfectly on the PSP :D

2600, or 7800?
2600. I have maybe 20 loose carts from my childhood, and I have no 7800 carts.
PS1, PS2, or PS3?
PS1 and PS2 are pretty close, probably PS2, though I haven't done a count lately.
Xbox, or Xbox 360?
360, easily.
Gamecube, or Wii?
Gamecube, easily.
Game Boy, or GBC?
Game Boy, but not by leaps and bounds.
GBA, or DS?
GBA, by a lot. Though I do have plenty of DS games, too.

-2600, or 7800?
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
-Gamecube, or Wii?
-Game Boy, or GBC?
-GBA, or DS?
So, what about you?
1. 2600. I don't have a 7800, and probably never will..
2. PlayStation 2. I got that before a ps1, and since it was the family system, the majority of games bought between 2002 and 2007 were either PS2 games or GameCube games. I managed to amass somewhat of a collection of ps1 games in recent years, but still dont have as many as PS2. 52 ps1 games, 76 ps2 games (Both excluding demo discs. I have a bunch of psm ps1 discs, however.)
3. Don't have either
4. Gamecube. The Wii is very poor in my opinion, it has very few good games, and even the games I enjoy get very boring after the first playthrough. No real "Classics" as of yet...except maybe Red Steel...
5. GB Color. It was the first I got, and I sadly don't like GB games as much. Monochrome just doesn't do it for me.
6. These are actually pretty equal. I have 30 GBA games, and 36 DS games. Most of the GBA games I bought over the years new, but here and there I got a couple from GameStop and two or three from friends or at christmas. The large number of DS games is pretty much attributed to christmas, and the time BEFORE i became a retrogamer, where i spent the majority of my budget on interesting-looking DS games (there are now a ton of games that are very appealing to me right now, but I don't want to go spending my money)

-2600, or 7800? - None, don't own either.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3? - PS2 by a wide margin (approximately 30 more games than the PS1), but I don't own a PS3.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360? - XBox by about 20 games, but the 360 has caught up.
-Gamecube, or Wii? - Wii since I don't own a Gamecube.
-Game Boy, or GBC? - Game Boy by a good 50 or so games.
-GBA, or DS? - Don't own a DS, so GBA by default.

-2600, or 7800?
2600. Easily.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
PS2. Easily. Although my PS1 game selection is one of the largest portions of my collection.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
Xbox 360. Once again, easily. And I don't even have to count downloadable games.
-Gamecube, or Wii?
If you only count disc games, AND you include demos like Wii Sports and Link's Crossbow Training, I very narrowly have more GameCube games than Wii games. However, if you include download games, I have way more Wii games.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
Narrowly more GBC games.
-GBA, or DS?[/I]
Considerably more GBA games.

I only have 40-50 retail games altogether.

The questions:
-2600, or 7800?
Would easily be the Atari 2600 by many dozens of titles.
-PS1, PS2, or PS3?
Playstation 2 by about 2 to 1 to the PSOne. PS3 far behind with just a handful of titles.
-Xbox, or Xbox 360?
About twice as many Xbox titles compared to my 360 library.
-Gamecube, or Wii?
Pretty close count, but the GameCube is about 15 games ahead or so.
-Game Boy, or GBC?
The GameBoy is easily ahead for me. Only own three GBC cartridges and one enhanced GB/GBC cartridge
-GBA, or DS?
Easily the GBA, hasn't been many DS titles that excite me much so I doubt it even amounts to half of my GBA collection.
