I am aware there is kind of, sort of a Michigan thread already in this here sub-forum, but since it's been a year since anyone's posted on it, and the bulk of the posts are related to individual gatherings, I thought I'd kick start a new thread. You know, because it's 7 AM here and I can't sleep.
I myself am from Grand Rapids. I play a lot of FPS, action and fighting games(though I don't claim to be any good at those. I'm an enthusiastic proto-shoto-scrub.). I have both an Xbox 360 and a PS3.
So. Michigan roll-call. Who's out there?(besides .Singe. You're my little brother. I know where you're at, punk.)

Well I hate to make the first reply from an Ohioan but I was born in Dearborn and lived near Taylor for a little while, and I spend as much time in Michigan as possible. So from a wannabe-born-again Michigander, what's up?

I'm in Grand Rapids too. Haven't been playing much other than COD4 on my 360 for the past 9 months but I just started playing Halo 3 again.
Music games are my favorite genre though. I've got a modded PS2 that I use to play all the import Bemani stuff on (mostly DDR). Once in a while I'll go to Westgate on Alpine to have a few beers and play In The Groove 2 but I suck at the arcade version for some reason.

Hello!
I am in the Detroit area (Garden City).
My wife and I as well as a few other fellows host meetups on occasion.
We have had several larger scale gatherings as well
Great Lakes Gaming fellowship (http://shmups.system11.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12435)
I had tried in the past to get something going on these forums but was not quite successful…
Anyways, I am chiming in, saying hello and representing the Michigan/Great Lakes region! I am all for getting people together for fellowship and video games playing!

Currently living in Highland (just outside of Milford) and was born and raised in Detroit (Last house I lived in back was on Ogden and Mcgraw just 1-2 minutes away from Dearborn) up until I was 13 then moved to Flint (remember this well as I just snagged Street Fighter II CE, Shinobi III, and Gunstar Heroes from Meijer via my generous grandma that November a couple days before I left) with my aunt for three years. Then my aunt and I moved to Howell in January 1996 (Just snagged Donkey Kong Country GBA, Telero Boxer, Chrono Trigger, Clockwork Knight, Yoshi's Island, and Wario Land VB just before that move) where I finished out high school then moved back to Flint for four years and worked as a professional cook before moving back in with my other aunt and cousin and started college finally while being a 2nd assistant at the local McOpCo owned McDonald's.
Currently going for a another major and now I'm the store manager at another McDonalds a bit away(try 27 miles, damn gas prices). :)
I know the way I said all of this wasn't too efficient and the game references were kind of weird but it plays well into my little story and remembering times where I received/purchased excellent games alongside minor/major life changes makes for some interesting conversation in my opinion.

Currently in Southgate, right near Detroit! Most I play fighters and shootemups, though I've got a wide variety of tastes. My friends and I hold gaming nights practically every week.
Robotron also has been spotted on this forum...he's a major Neo Geo player. But I don't think he's posted in a while.
If you're interested, a bunch of Michigan gamers are over at the forum on michigangamers.net/f. The frontpage is down, but the forum is still hopping. Mostly fighter fans, but we get some other people too.

I'm in Milford. Currently i collect 16-bit through PS2 with a heavy emphasis on SNES, Saturn and PS1. I mostly collect and play RPG's.
I have quit a bit of trade items ranging from Atari to current.
What would be nice is to get a swap meet going if we can get enough people together or for anyone close by interested in trading. I get around the area quit a bit from Flint to Taylor in a given week for business.

I'm way down in Flat Rock, MI (35 min north of Toledo). I collect for pretty much everything classic (concentrating on 5200 and 8-bit) and some neo-classic stuff (Neo Geo, Genesis, DC, etc.).

I'm thinking of putting together a Michigan get together for all good DP folk. Somewhere in Lansing seems to be the best bet; most of us seem to be in Detroit or Grand Rapids. Lansing is at least a middle ground.
Is anyone interested?

I am interested in anything that can bring folks together for gaming and fellowship.
I am also willing in help to organize and contribute to unite Michigan game players in any way that I can. I have passion for this and always look to make many friends!

I'm just outside Toledo. Iused to live in MI for almost 20 years. I'd stop by a swap meet or something schedule permitting.
I collect for just about everything. Imports are probably my favorite thing to collect.
Ohio sucks btw.
Oddly enough, I know there are a few gamers that live in my area, but, I have never been able to hang out with any of them.
