Any Rollcage fans?

I loved Rollcage for the PS1. Rollcage II was just as good, but I seemed to like the original a bit better. I wish an updated version was coming out! There's no experience like it on current gen or even last gen systems. Did these titles perform so poorly in retail that developers are scared to tackle it? I think at least an overhaul of the originals graphics would make a great download game.
Rollcage provided a mechanic in 3D gaming unequalled by anything else. F-Zero comes close, but there is something about those flippy cars that just scream AWSOME!

I agree -- I played the PC version and it was a lot of fun. Was Rollcage II also for PS1?

Awesome games. I've put more time into Rollcage than Rollcage Stage II, but they're both excellent futuristic racers. Great sense of speed, exciting track design that often takes creative advantage of zany driving physics.. again, awesome games. Rollcage > WipEout.

Oh HELL yes, I love this game and every aspect of it (and was pretty good at it too, as my almost sub-9 second time on the superbowl track attests). Stage 2 is on my 'most wanted' list but finding it is another thing entirely...
