Given away plenty of games. For Christmas I gave my brother in law a CIB copy of Dracula X. I dont regret it right now but if he ever sold it, I may think differently. You should always think carefully about what you give away or trade away. Never leave room for doubt and if you do trade it, dont even bother worrying over it. You did it to yourself so there's no use crying over spilt milk.

Sold Lunar: Eternal Blue (PSX) to Gamestop for a few bucks complete. In the same batch of trade-ins: Warhawk, X-Com: UFO Defense (PSX); both complete. Think I got less than $3 for those. Traded along with my entire N64 collection to buy DDR Max and dancepads for me and my girl. lol

My thinking at the time was "eh, I'm not as into games anymore, and I'll probably never play these again."

yeah...

Well the happy news was I found the Lunar: EB soundtrack mixed in with an Offspring cd of mine a few months ago, so apparently it wasn't completely...complete.

So... does that mean that the person who bought your copy of Lunar is jamming to "Pretty Fly for a White Guy" right now?

I don't have a game I gave/sold away that I regret. Either I bought it back or the memories have washed away (i.e. circa '96/'97 my bro traded like 8 of our SNES games for enough store credit to get the new NHL '97 at Funcoland)

These days, I sell very carefully. My biggest sell was Psychic Assassin TAROMARU, a rare highly expensive Saturn import (only 7,500 copies or so). Also sold the likes of Crows, Hissatsu!, Astra Superstars, etc. No regrets. I only sell when I can answer 'yes' to "Would I miss this if I sold this? Maybe not tomorrow, but what about 5, 10 years from now?"

Honestly, I can't think of any I regret, personally - I gave an extra Genesis I had to my cousins, and I gave Yoshi's Island and Ocarina of Time to friends for birthdays, but I had extras so it was no skin off my back.

I know plenty of people who do or should regret that kind of thing, though. My best friend traded in ALL of his genesis stuff to get a PS one because he just couldn't wait to save up money, and now he gets a little pissed at himself from time to time when we wanna play Contra Hard Corps (or "Corpse" as we always said as kids) and it's not there.

Given to me were my SNES, all three NESes, my GBA, SP, Dreamcast, Game Gear, PS2, Odyssey 2, two Ataris, and my Sega CD/Genesis 2 combo (and I'm probably forgetting a few, even). I've asked a few of the people who donated these if they ever thought twice about it and they all told me that they knew their old machines were going to a good home and they don't regret a thing which was very reassuring.

One time i sold some NES games when i was little so i could get the SNES and i got likt $2. That was so not worth the trip and i have never sold anything since. Also make sure to never leave you crap at other peoples houses because after a year it becomes theirs. Its an unwritten rule.

I traded away my Final Fantasy II for Top Gear on the SNES in the mid 90's. What was funny was the guy wanted to trade back, and I didn't. I kick my self for that.

All the Atari 2600 games I gave my cousins when my dad got me my famiclone. Some nes/famicom carts my cousins (yeah, them again. My mom has 10 siblings, I have a LOT of cousins) borrowed from me and never returned - including Gradius II, that miss dearly. And Mutant League Footbal, that I lent some friend and never saw again.

Haha no, they just got gipped! Actually I don't think GameStop cares too much on trade-ins as long as the game discs are present..

I've never regretted getting rid of a game. The only regrets involve stuff I didn't buy in the first place.

All of the ones I sold to Gamestop.

A few things I regret selling/giving away. I regret letting my parents giving away our NES, but I do have to slap myself for saying that as it was given to the Ronald McDonald House. Plus I got most of the stuff they gave away and thankfully they didn't give away a Tips & Tricks manual for Zelda.

One more thing I gave away was a few N64 games. I'm not too upset for getting rid of a WCW game and Mario Golf, but I also got rid of Diddy Kong Racing and Super Smash Bros. Still, the charity argument kicks in.

The only thing I've sold that I regret giving away is Mega Man Legends 2. I sold it to GameCrazy because it was scratched and before I knew about the toothpaste trick. All I got was a new MVP card and subscription to Gamepro which was also paid for by a few Game Boy games that I don't regret selling.

Most of all I regret selling my TG-16 and 15 to 20 games for like $30 when I was younger. The Genesis and SNES are both great systems and have great games, but for me this was and still is my favorite system of that era.

I've never sold of given away something I regretted, mostly because everything i've ever sold or given away was a duplicate or specifically bought for someone.

I did throw away a bunch of goodness 15 or so years ago when I moved out of my parents' house. what could I possibly want with my old 2600 games and my C128? ***SIGH*** (at least I still have 20 or so 2600 games that missed the purge, though not my sentimental favorites)
