Added the pinball collections and the Sega classics collection. I'm only interested in arcade compilations for this list, not console comps. Thanks for your help!

Was there ever a non-greatest hits "Namco Museum 50th Anniversary" for PS2? I remember it releasing immediately as a greatest hit (because of so many pre-orders or some stupid shit). I don't remember anyone ever mentioning finding a "regular" PS2 edition (like the GC and Xbox got).

Gradius III & IV is a port of the arcade games. Are we talking domestic only, or imports? There's the Gunbird collection, and the Sengoku Ace / Sengoku Blade collection from Psikyo in Japan. (And I think the Gunbird collection was released in England?) And on the Neo Geo forums they've mentioned something about a Sengoku 1,2&3 collection that's coming out soon. I think it's only scheduled for Japan so far.

Oh, and we're not talking about single game ports like Raiden III or Shikigami no Shiro (Mobile Light Force 2) etc, right?

Those are good questions, XYXYZ. Let's make this list US NTSC only. Now, the other question is how many games should a disc have on it to make it a "compilation?" Do you think Gradius III&IV should count?

gradius iii and iv should count, it was two games on one disc, and at least gradius iii was 10 years old when the disc was released

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology

Since Gradius III & IV is on the list, you might as well add Metal Slug 4/5 (which pretty much became obsolete after the release of Metal Slug Anthology, but yeah).

EDIT: Another one that's missing is Art of Fighting Anthology.

Please make the list in order when completed, this will be easier to read :) Thanks in advance!

There's nothing that's keeping you from doing that and posting it here for us. Thanks in advance!

Those are just collected "boxed sets" of single games...similar to the recent Metal Gear Solid and Devil May Cry collections. A majority of the titles contained were never even arcade games.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus (arcade game on it)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Mutant Nightmare (arcade game on it)
Mortal Kombat: Deception Premium Pack (arcade game on it)
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon Kollector's Edition (arcade game on it)

I wouldn't call those games compilations...

arcade compilations = no
arcade compilation = Yep

Each one of those games have 1 arcade compilation on it.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

By its very definition, a compilation has more than one arcade game. Therefore, those titles you listed with one arcade game on them are not compilations.

I can't think of any others, really. Although, wouldn't the genesis collection not count? Did the Tecmo Collection ever come out on PS2?

The Genesis Collection has a few arcade games on it, doesn't it?

The Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2 has 5 unlockable classic Sega arcade games, with the PSP version having a different set of 5. Belongs in the list for sure.

Nope - unfortunately, it was just on the Xbox.

I hate to dredge this topic up, but I was looking up Terminal Reality (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminal_Reality), the devs that made the Bloodrayne games, Aeon Flux, and the godawful SNK Arcade Classics for the PS2... when I noticed this in Wikipedia:

Games developed
(...)
* The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga (Wii, PlayStation 2, PSP)

... Please tell me this is a lie. PLEASE TELL ME SNK DIDN'T FARM OUT THIS GAME TO THESE INCOMPETENT MORONS.

PLEASE. ;_;
