Ok, so I bought 8 broken gamecubes from a guy for $30 including shipping. Either the guy was electronically inept or just dumb, but 5 out of the 8 work perfectly. Two of the others have no disc errors, and the third has no audio when playing. How would I fix the afformentioned errors. Thanks in advance for any help I may recieve.

Oh, I thought this was a line from a 12 Days of DP Christmas song. :p
Seriously though, I think were going to need some more information.

could it be that the no disc error cubes could just be a dirty lens?

It sounds like a dirty lens. If you clean it and it still doesnt work I dont even think its worth it to order new lasers for the ones that have DRE. And for the one with no sound try a new cable if that doesnt fix your problem then check out the ports on the GC there might be a bent pin or even a missing pin. Try to clean the ports with some contact cleaner.

haha thats one hell of a deal if you get even 2 fully working cubes out of it. Nice score!

I agree with MrSparkle, great deal! It's funny because this has happened to me too--not to this degree--but I've definitely bought a lot of "broken" systems before as you have, only to find that some are fully working. Kind of makes you wonder, haha.

If cleaning the lens doesn't work, you might need to re-calibrate it http://www.howtodothings.com/hobbies/how-to-fix-a-disk-read-error-on-gamecube

Well you could always try to make them into lunchboxes and sell them online for profit.........
I know, this post was useless.

How the hell do you break a GC in the first place? I've used mine as a step stool before...

Haha, I've wondered this too, as it seems like a sturdy piece of machinery. Though, my conclusion is... kids love Gamecube, kids break things, so kids break Gamecubes :)
Happens with a lot of consoles that kids have a particular affinity for... for example I've seen Gameboys in all sorts of head-scratching disrepair.
