Looking for one of these brand new. Must be the one Sega made. Would prefer black over the purple one.
Thanks!

This 'overpriced controller of a system made for a different system' thing is getting out of hand... I was just reading another thread about the sub-$50 Club Nintendo Super Fami Wii controller... What is this world coming to?! But that sell price blows it out of the water...

I'm not willing to go that high, I was hoping to get one for around 80.
Guess I'll make do, I'm not paying $200 just to get a nice d pad for a PS2.

If I might interject real quick, try the Street Fighter II Anniversary controllers . They're ugly, but the D-pad is great. You can find them for twenty bucks new on Amazon or Ebay.

I never excepted it to go nowhere near that high. I was thinking around $50 myself.

Was it some freak bidding war accident? Or is that the market price for these right now? It is a shame really...because the Saturn-pad is quite nice, one of my favorites.

The street fighter pad is basically a saturn pad. Just uglier.

The Darkstalkers Sega Saturn style pad is the one I had boxed. Never seen another like the one I had except back in Hawaii where I got it from. So I am guessing it just rare...

Yes it is. I've sold about 15 Saturn PS2 pads over the last year(the Purple Darkstalkers one and the grey one) and everytime the price goes up. My last two sold for over $170 each. If I ever sell my other 2 from my personal collection, believe me--they will not be let go for less than $200 each.

This myth was debunked in another thread: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120019. They have several key differences, mainly control. The Saturn PS2 pad handles better. But the Street Fighter pad is a much cheaper alternative.

Well look at it this way, with the money you made from it, you could buy a minty import Saturn system w/controller, and Vampire Savior + ram cart, have all the Saturn-y Darkstalkers fun you want, and STILL have money left over ;)
