Just got it in the mail. Paid about $60 for it... but I'm not sure if it is complete or not.
I have the box, manual, warranty card, product catalog, 'Daggerfall Chronicles" pamphlet, installation pamphlet, jewel case with rear paperwork, and CD. It even came with the original plastic with the $49.99 price tag on it from EB!
Was there a booklet in the CD case? My other copy doesn't have one either but I figured that was because it was missing!

I don't recall there being an actual CD cover, just the Daggerfall Chronicles Book of Knowledge booklet thingy and the product catalog.
Been a while since I cracked open that box. Lord did that game piss me off with its technical issues...I should fire it up in DOSbox sometime and see how the fan patches and such have improved it in the last decade+.

Lawl!
I've been really into Morrowind as of late. I read up on the previous games, and I wonder how Daggerfall compares to Ultima Underworld?

There was no front insert for the american release (the shiny one like you have) on the jewel case ><

Awesome. I have teh completeness.
I remember logging tons of hours playing this. Never really following the quest lines, just exploring. Oh, and waiting in the stores till it closed only to steal everything and sell it back to the owner in the morning

mmm not 100% sure if you have it complete, there was a big huge chronicles book I think and I know there was another paper (if you care about those, I throw away the warrant cards and other crap) but it's really hard to tell :| It might be complete :| Apparently they had different amounts of stuff in them, along with 2 different types of boxes (the one you have that comes out from the top and one that slipped out from a cover on the bottum or top)
I'm not hugely well versed with daggerfall to know if it is or not ;p But you get a practically complete copy at the least :P
Also one of the originals might have come with a floppy version as well as cd o_0?

It IS complete. I sold one of these about two years ago. It had everything yours had, except the Book of Knowledge was the CD case's "front cover".

It traumatized me enough that I never bothered even attempting to play Morrowind or Oblivion despite the heaps of praise both games got. :(

Man, that brings back memories. I remember buying that exact same box (kinda reflectivey etc.) back in 1997, or somewhere around there, from Babbage's.
It cost $69.99.

After playing Morrowind for a few hundred hours I downloaded this game to try it out. I couldn't stand it. I keep thinking that one of these days I'll go back and try it, but I don't know if that will ever happen. I remember thinking the controls were horrible.
Either way, I'm jealous. I'd like to have the game in my collection at least.

Do you still have the shelf dust that it collected from sitting unbought at EB for a long time?

heh no, the guy I got it from bought it new when it came out. He simply included the plastic!
I remember reading a lot about this game on someone's Quake webpage (I think it was the admin at a Quake C page, the guy who wrote the first flamethrower mod, banana peel, and airplane then was hired to work for Valve on Halflife).
I get the game, install the latest patches... and after a few hours I realize I can attack monsters through doors. It made the game trivial. I quit and never went back. Like someone else mentioned, it scarred me enough to stay far away from the rest of the series.

I just sold one of these a few months ago ($5 flea market find). You've got all the same stuff I had with it, so it looks 100% complete:

I sold a Daggerfall Chronicles strategy guide too but that was a totally separate item and not originally packaged with the game.

I've personally been trying to keep the plastic wrap for PC games. It's nice to have them as complete as possible, maybe even keep my receipt in the box. Shrinkwrap is easy to take off in one piece, but that cellophane stuff that's kinda stiff just rips, like DVD and CD case wrappers.
