www.bombman.info

I scan them at 24 bit 300 dpi jpegs.

I'm always importing old games, especially Mega Drive games so eventually there'll be a lot of stuff on here.

Congrats, man! I can't believe no one has done this yet! Certainly no one I know of. Wish you the best!

Bump, I'm not on vacation anymore so now I will start updating the site again. I do like to finish playing a game before I post it though... so I can leave good comments on the game's page.

Hi again, here are my plans for the site so far.
First, I'm not updating the site because I'm deployed in Iraq right now, I have several game materials scanned though. Once I come back overseas in January I will upload everything that I have scanned to the website, and as I play different games I will scan them up (I want to finish the game before I scan it so it's more of a personal thing in this regard.)
In addition, I want to connect each game to to a youtube thing... basically I record myself playing the game (not on an emulator but ripped from the real system, unless it's unfeasible somehow), then I splice different consecutive scenes together from the game and it turns into basically a quick video overview of the game itself, I do one video for each game so it doesn't become a Let's Play or anything, just kind of a brief sketch of the game that's always under ten minutes, so you can decide if you want to play the game or not, or if you just want to look at different games for a little bit. Fortunately youtube has adopted this wonderful thing called 'annotations' so I can leave my own comments on the game, translate whatever needs to be translated, etc. I might also upload the endings for each game because I know a lot of people like to watch game endings. The links to my youtube videos will be on each game's page. Also if you look at the games I already have uploaded, you'll see that I have translated the game "story" directly out of the game's manual. This will be the norm for every game so you're not left in the dark as to what the hell is going on. The aim of this site will be to expose people to imported games, if they're interested, or just bored and looking for some game stuff to look at... you won't find this anywhere else...!
Now you're probably asking "why are you playing nothing but imported games"? The answer:

I dont know, OCD or something...

that reminds me, i still need to buy halo 3 >_>

Best wishes. Good luck in Iraq, and give 'em hell.

Just a thought, if anyone is interested in full magazines, then you could always try a site called www.retromags.com I have the same user name there as here. Also, there are a few manuals available there too.

yeah, www.retromags.com is really cool. I got some mad nostalgia from reading Game Players.

Sorry about the bump and the plug, but I recently got a scanner after a long period without one, so I've begun scanning fascinating/funny/interesting articles from my Japanese magazines. I'm sure you'll enjoy the nostalgia too.

I'm calling it Your Weekly Famicom:
