PS2 DVD Driver Utility Disc (NTSC U/C)

I have access to two copies at the moment. Both are in plain cases.

I heard that Japan was the only place that got these things, but I may be wrong on that assumption.

They were included in the USA along with the official Sony PlayStation 2 DVD Remote. The disc was used as a DVD driver upgrade for earlier model PS2's. Here's an ancient review I did on it back when it was released (http://classicplastic.net/dvgi/periPS2dvdremote.htm).
