I have someone offering me 5 multicarts for about $15 each. I can't find much info on them except wikipedia has a little info. I have no clue how much they are worth or if they are rare. I'm basically interested in them just as a collector of SNES items.

Does anyone know anything about these? I know there isn't 9,999,999 games on here obviously but thought they might be cool to have in my collection.

Thanks

Dude, I want that 9,999,999 games in 1.

Value on these things is kinda random - some people treat them like dirt, myself I think they're neat and would pay 15 bucks each just for the fun of them. I'd still try to work out a package deal though.

Huh, they look like Famicom games.

I would try to haggle a little, I would buy it just for the oddity of it.

some games on these are good games albright they are ripoffs, hacks and some strange but interesting mashups. Also dude those are Famicom carts not Super Famicom. I should know i have a few of both and know the difference in the carts (even though all Super Fami look the same and Famicom carts where allowed to be in somewhat altered designs by each publisher).

I'd pay for a SNES multicart that actually looked like a SNES cart.

I've only exchanged emails with the person selling them but they specifically said they are SNES games and that they tested and work on an NTSC system. Said they got them in Japan in 1992. I don't much more than that other then I've never seen them before.

I didn't know Super Mario Sunshine was made back in '92...

1: Those are Famicom Multicarts

2: No way he got those in 1992. Look at the first picture. It says "Olympic 2008"

3: Those aren't very rare at all. Plus the games usually featured on multicarts are very common games. I would try to haggle down to $5.

P.S. Those multicarts probably have about 50 games on them.

Hmm, that was stupid of me, I should have seen that. Well I guess I'll pass altogether on them. If anyone else is interested in them I can hook you up with this persons email. I guess I should have gone with my first instinct which was something seemed fishy.

Thanks all

I have one, it has 5 games and it's got an identical US SNES shell, but the label is awful and crooked.

Thing is, I don't think the "company" would manufacture thousands of these, which do make them rare.

What is the possibility of finding the same exact cart once more?

I like collecting these, though I will admit I won't pay much for them either.

Pretty common actually - famicom world has a wonderful pirate cart listing that goes over some of the more well-known "XXXXXXXX in 1" carts.

None of those seem especially interesting, but if you see famicom multis with FDS-only games on them, snap 'em up. Especially Mario 2j, Bubble Bobble, or Contra (jp). Even though the last one was made in cart form, the japanese version has actual storyline in between levels that the US didn't get.

Well truth is these games are mass produced just like licensed games. They may not produce as many as some licensed games and they are pretty poor quality, but they are definetly mass produced.

Did you think they made them by hand or something? LOL
