Bookman's seems to dominate the market, but the prices for retro games are insane. $60 for an NES. WTF??!
I was wondering if there are any other good stores there.

I have yet to find one. Bookmans is about all I could find, (well other than gamestops) i would like to know also if there are any stores in Tucson. You would think a place as big as Tucson would have a good retro game store.:?

There are now at least 3 Play and Trade stores here. One at Foothills Mall, one at El Con Mall and one at Grant/Swan next to Panda Express. You can also try Metro Gnome music on Speedway just west of Alvernon. I picked up an almost brand new SNES system complete and boxed at one of the Play and Trades for $40, not to mention an Atari Jaguar with some boxed games. Metro Gnome has a lot of common NES games 4 for $10, plus a good selection of Atari and boxed Genesis games. Good luck!!

I'd say check Bookman's. If the Tucson stores are anything like the Phoenix/Mesa ones, it will be well worth your time. A friend picked up a CIB Swordquest Waterworld there for like $5 a while back.

The Speedway Bookmans is usually cheaper than the Grant location. Lately I've found better deals there. The second hand/thrift stores use to be decent, but now there's barely anything showing up. The Swapmeet has stuff from time to time, but even less so than the thrift stores. It's usually not worth the time it takes to 'get out of the parking lot jams'. And then there's criag's list / yard sales....

I find good stuff at bookman's. For example, I found the suikoden II and ICO guides for $10 each a few weeks ago. Before that, I found two DC light guns in box for $10 each. Grant bookman's is usually like you've gotta be shittin me prices.
The swap meet is decent. Don't really find any rares or anything for my collection, but I almost always find an N64 or some other system (though usually an N64) for 5 bucks or so to resell. Does anyone know of swap meets/flea markets other than the tanque verde one that I could try?
Thrifts are mostly crap. I found a pretty good one near Broadway and Campbell though (can't remember the name) that sells all carts for $3.75, and they have some ok ones.
CL and garage sales are usually crap because everyone thinks their shit is worth millions and sells it to bookman's. I have found some good stuff though, like a SNES and 25 games (most 1st party) for 8 bucks.
Metro gnome is ok, but they don't have a huge selection, and I don't usually see what I want there. Same with PnT.
